Fresh pint bottle in NoVa Whole Foods; pours a fairly dark amber, not very pale, actually, but tastes kind of like Lunch or Another One, sweet but with some good hops - excellent work by this small Virginia brewer

Poured a cloudy orange body with an aroma that is floral and citrusy. Beer has an earthy dryness with a clean malt sweetness and fill as well as touches of citric and grapefruit hops that provide good balance. Fuller beer and is easy to drink and is worthy trying.

Honeysuckle and pine with citrus and dank in the finish. A little more breadiness in the malt and less a little less tannin/polyphenol would be great

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber-yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Very solid lacing.

S: A nice aroma of hops, malt, citrus, and some pine as well.

T: Tasted of a moderate amount of citrus (grapefruit, especially), a fair shot of malt, nice pine notes (more than you expect from an APA), a good hops presence, and some stone fruit. A quite well done, well-balanced flavor with the pine and citrus playing well together. Tastes a lot like like a New England IPA, but this isn't a bad thing.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light-bodied.

O: An exceedingly well made and easy to drink APA. Drinkable.

A hazy to cloudy orange-tinged golden, with haze gaining as the bottom of the bottle empties into the glass. There is a sustaining head. Lacing is initially micro bubbled sheets that fall slowly, spots and streams stick around.

I am getting something like wheat in the nose, and it might be accented by the yeast dregs that seemed to get into the pour. I get a little mix of citrus rind and light tropical notes, maybe even a little pineapple, but there is a a certain clay-like earthiness as well.

The malt is a decent component of the taste as well. This is complimented by a citrus bitterness that is fairly familiar. Pithy grapefruit starts to become noticeable around mid-taste. As the beer warms a tad, there is a pine wood aspect comes out nearer the end of the taste. Further warmth brings some bubblegum and lightens the bitterness.

A balanced, fairly clean, fairly light APA with balance up front, but a growing bitterness in back. Personally, I'll take a little more care on my next pour and see if there is a little more clean with a little more from the hop flavors without any possible interference from the bottom of the bottle.

Yeah, you can tell this guy came from Maine. Very complex, bitter and resinous while still avoiding being too heavy. I wasn't huge on the Blonde, but really enjoyed this

Pours a hazy, yellow orange color with about an inch of white head, fades into some nice lacing on top. Smell is good, a little malt, citrus, and stone fruit not strong scents but solid. Taste is smooth, well balanced. Good malt backbone, citrus, a little hop bitterness throughout, hint of stone fruit. Creamy feel, full body. Reminds me a little of a NE IPA. Solid beer, I'd certainly buy it again.
