Notes: It's our birthday, so we have every intention of having our cake and drinking it too. With that in mind we brewed our biggest beer yet and loaded it up with cocoa nibs, milk sugar and vanilla beans. It's liquid cake, just don't stick a lit candle in it.

wow. Bring this to my birthday.
a) black
s) wax, smoke, cocoa, vanilla, candles.
t) while sweet and suitable for dessert, leading up to chocolate layer cake, it's balanced and subtle. A bit of licorice, bittersweet and hop temper the cake.
f) Silky, mid-weight, but licorice mouth feel.
o) Original, great dessert stout.

Pours pitch black in color with a spongy, big head.

Smells of wax, candy cotton, bakers chocolate and a slight note of cake dough.

Has a silk, soft, medium mouthfeel with a lower carbonation to it, bringing out the beer‘s sweetness undisturbed.

Tastes of colorful sprinkles, milk chocolate, rock sugar, a good amount of earth and caramel. This first impression gets enhanced by a light coffee dryness, which, in the end compliments to the overall, prominent sweetness. Finishes with a subtle spiciness, licorice and cardamom, adding to the luscious chocolate.

Well made sweet stout, with a pleasant mouthfeel and okay wirking balance.

A: The beer is nearly jet black in color except for some traces of dark brown near the edges of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high dense light tan head that quickly faded away, leaving a wide collar consisting of medium-sized bubbles.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate malt are present in the nose along with strong underlying notes of cocoa nibs and hints of vanilla.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a good balance between the malts and cocoa nibs as there is only a light amount of sweetness.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer comes very close to tasting like a chocolate cake as it's not overly sweet and there is a good balance among the flavors. It drinks very easily because any traces of alcohol are well hidden from the taste.
