This New-American Hoppy ale was inspired by our observations of the New-Alternative Delusions of this self-obsessed frenzied culture...and with our extreme efforts to infuse objectivity into all aspects of our craft, alienation is a perpetual inevitability. As surely as the transient perceptions of slouching minds dictate cultural patterns en masse, we will all swallow with ease this delicious, silken liquid, and breathe deeply the quirky hipness of hot new aromas like tropical flowers, red berries, and candied citrus fruits imparted by the Melba & Topaz hops. Take the path of least resistance: a satisfied ego is all important, no?

Pours an opaque straw color with well over a finger of head. The nose has distinct citrus notes and also a secondary note of dankness in the background. The citrus pithiness comes through full-bore in the flavor profile. The hop bitterness on the finish is plenty strong for a single IPA.

A: Poured from the can into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy golden-yellow with a small film of whitish head on top.
S: Pineapple-orange juice and ripe melon. Modestly floral scents noted as well.
T: Taste is a let-down after that nose. Melon rind, modest tropical fruit - but a bit watery and thin. Finishes with lingering aftertaste of ripe melon, papaya.
M: See above - medium in heft, but gives the impression of being lighter.
O: OK.

Hazy, opaque golden orange with a small white head. Good retention and sheets of lacing.
Smells like peach, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, pineapple, bell pepper, honey, and grains.
The taste is mango, apricot, papaya, honeydew melon, blueberry, green grape, pineapple, bell pepper, honey, cereal grains, and oats. Juicy and super fruity throughout with a slight spicy balance on the finish. Lightly dry with a hint of pepper and pine.
The feel is creamy, almost thick, smooth, moderately carbonated, and slightly sticky.
An excellent NEIPA!
