I used to visit this Top Foods for beer purchases pretty regularly when I lived in nearby Bothell. I stopped in again today to check out the selection, and found the place pretty much the same as it was 10 years ago.

The beer section is clean and well-organized, with a pretty sizable selection for a grocery store. Ten years ago, it was monumental; today, still pretty good, but nothing like a specialty beer store. There is a pretty big selection of craft six-packs, and maybe 200 different singles available; these are mostly Pacific Northwest crafts, but national brands are available too.

Staffing was typical for a grocery store. There was no beer person around when I was there, but they may have one at other times. Overall, this is a good place to get beer if you're in the immediate area, but probably not worth a special trip.

When visiting my sister I love coming to this store for beer for the occasion. My sister loves beer but doesn't know where to find it so usually I go down and stock up on beer I think she should try here.Top Food is great as far as beer selection for grocery stores. The beer aisle here is huge. To bad most of it is filled with american macro's. The good news is they have gems at great prices. Sales on Rogue bombers for 2.49 a steal. Celebration ale was offered at 6.49 as they wanted to shed there stock. You can find local and foreign gems here. Young's Double chocolate Stout is excellent. Good place to shop and if you don't have time to head out to a beer store, try Top Foods. The service is good if you can find someone. I finally flagged down a guy and he got me a case of Rogue Bombers from the back during there sale. I loved it!

Quality – This is laid out very nice. All of the aisles are wide, and the produce department is top notch. The store is in a large, newer strip mall with plenty of parking.

Service – I found the service to be excellent. They seem to be constantly overstaffed, with many helpful people available to answer questions or to provide assistance. The town is far enough away from the Eastside nexus that folks here are polite and kind.

Selection – The beer selection isn’t expansive by any means, but I found some real gems here. The Traquair House Ale and Jacobite were there, along with some uncommon German Kolsch and Rauchbiers. They also had a stock of different styles of Rogues, Stones, and Snoqualmie Falls among others.

Comments – Overall a very clean, well-stocked, and friendly store. I was quite impressed. It’s not quite up to par with Larry’s for selection, but the excellent service more than makes up for it.
