Lager beer using Niigata Koshihikari rice. Crisp and refreshing with smooth finish. Goes very well with Japanese food such as sushi. The painting of the landscape of rice planting is by Katsuyuki Fujii, a sumi-e painter from Niigata.

Light yellow color. I hate to say that the aroma reminds me of miller light, but it does. Aroma is slightly metallic. Upfront flavor is offensive— metallic, bitter, skunky, which doesn’t even make sense because it came out of a bottle. It transitions to a smooth middle that is what you would expect from a nice rice lager and then it ends with an unpleasant aftertaste of more metallic tinny notes. Miller light flavors … Thin body, very astringent. Woof. Would not get again.

WFM - single pretty can from Japan's first micro-brewery in the center of the Koshihikari rice region.
Reminds me of my favorite teen beer - Original Budweiser - which is also a rice lager.
Very suitable for sushi and Japanese food.
Loved it.
Appearance: Pours clean, clear body classic golden, and white lasting pilsner head.
Smell: Floral hops, aromatic, with clean cereal backbone.
Taste: Follows aroma, bright, and a bit soapy.
Feel: Light-bodied, mid-carbonation.
O: As good as it gets for rice lager. Would choose this over most Japanese beers.

Pours a clear straw color with a soapy white head, the nose is rice and a bit of barley, and those are the flavors as well, with a crisp mouthfeel that makes this very easy drinking, especially if you’re eating sushi, which I was this evening.
