A pale lager, providing a firm malty body and pronounced hoppy flavor with distinctive floral overtones of jasmine tea.

12oz can from Brewers Haven. Dark golden pour with a very fizzy head. Aroma is musty malts with a hint of jasmine and tea. Taste is kind of bready, rice notes, tea and not much jasmine. No date on can. Seems like an ordinary rice lager to me.

Pours murky, gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is rice lager with light jasmine tea. Light bodied, crisp, slightly sweet, with moderate light carbonation. I really wanted to like this more. I am a tea drinker and while I Taste tea I may not have if it wasn't on the label. I got this fo the tea so it was disappointing....average clean lager....tea beer, not really.

Body is a little light with carbonation being just below average.
Aroma is jasmine tea, malt, bread, grain, flour and some mild citrus.
Taste for the most part is very similar to aroma.

Appearance: Hazy golden glass struggles to hold a thin white cover. Gives a few spots of lace.

Aroma: Lightly musty wet grain note, slight "Chinese" note, hard to describe. Mild honey sweetness.

Taste: Corn, slightly fusel alcohol, malt, mild formaldehyde in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Light medium body, slick texture, medium low carbonation.

Overall: No tea flavor, which was got me to buy the bottle. This is a pretty standard adjunct lager, with some minor whiffs of industrial residue. Pretty disappointed as I love tea beers, which this had some in it.

An interesting experience. My first craft beer from China and only my second from China (the first was the mass market Tsingtao.) I drank Baby Jasmine next to a cup of Fancy Jasmine left from my mid-afternoon pick-me-up. The Fancy dried out the mouth and the Baby tea refreshed it, but also echoed the Fancy.

Baby Looks average, but good clarity to start. Smells are intriguing; sweet malts with hops/tea/flowers in the back. Tastes are closely integrated. In the mouth, bubbles scrub and refresh and the tea dries out the sweet. A well-constructed beer.

Of course, this was my first from Master Gao and I went on the their website and the English button was obvious. But the translation never came up. So, I looked at the pictures. Largely speaking, Master Gao seems cool and they are having a good time. Beer seems to be a universal language. So, what's the big fuss about China ?

Bottle purchased from Chocolate and Vines in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a hazy and golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like floral hops, stone fruit, grapefruit, tea, perfume, and fruity yeastiness.

The tea is integrated well here, but the beer definitely ends up a touch sweet in the end, as there's not much of any bitterness to tame that down. There's sweet and creamy citrus, a bit of overripe fruitiness, and tons of floral character from the tea. I'd want a bit more crispness and bitterness, and definitely a bit more bitterness. Even without those things, it's still an intriguing beer.

This is light bodied, creamy and slightly heavy only on the finish, with a pretty good kind of drinkability.

It's pretty cool to try a craft beer from China. It's a touch flawed, but it certainly had its moments.

11.2oz undated bottle poured into shaker pint glass at fridge temp 5.4% ABV. The beer pours barely hazy in a dull light golden yellow color. The head builds to about an inch on a hard pour and recedes to single layer of off white bubbles. No lacing. The aroma offers little, maybe a touch of yeast and pale malt. The taste is barely sweet pale malt up front with mild tea flavor coming through mid to late palate. Very low bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, very good. This is a very nice and refreshing lager with no brewing flaws and a pleasant use of tea (with or in place of hops?).

Drinks like most pale lagers. Light, refreshing, but a bit too grainy. Hardly picked up on the jasmine.
