Notes:
Brewed with copious amounts of flaked wheat, and quadruple dry hoped with Citra, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Amarillo. Juicy notes of fresh pressed tropical fruit, ripe apricot, and honeydew.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden/ orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is mango, grapefruit, pineapple, juicy. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer worth trying.

The looks aren't promising, coming from a pint can and emptied into a clear glass liter mug. A big foamy starched white head arises above a murky straw-amber colored and opaque brew. Wheat in the wort, the antagonist of a good IPA, is suspected. Few barley brewed IPAs have this sort of annoying head. Of course, it recedes slowly and unevenly. A lingering and puffy head should never be confused with presenting a good beer. There's no redemption from the aroma. It's starchy first, then mildly hoppy. Yep, as expected there’s a very thin mouthfeel carrying a mild dose of hops. Sometimes, a recipe that includes wheat tries to compensate for its lack of character by overly hopping the ale. Not true in this case. This has very little character, almost no malt, nor hoppiness and really isn't worth the trial taste. Good thing it was a single and not a four-pack. Never again.

Picked up a 4-pack of 16 oz cans in Wilmington. Can date says 11/14 and I’m drinking in January. I had never had this beer, but like Hammerhead IPA from Big Oyster. This turned out to be even better. A definite winner and awesome NEIPA from Southern Delaware. These guys make better IPAs than Dogfish Head, in my opinion. Citrus scent and juicy taste has me ready for another. Very smooth with great hops. Love this beer. So smooth and easy to drink. Great finish. The can is pretty ugly but who cares. I will be finding more and can’t beleve it could b better when fresher.

Canned on 7-6-18 into a 16oz IPA glass. Quick settling head, nice lacing left behind.
L: Orange, hazy and inviting.
S: Very tropical, fruity (see below) and sweet.
T: Lots of tropical and fruit flavors...cantaloupe and melon at the fore.
F: Medium-Full-Creamy. Very little carbonation or bitterness.
O: This is the 5th or 6th time I've had Slam. I've been getting a crossover flavor of egg-custard and creamsicle in the aroma (milder in the taste), which I've never had before. One of the better IPA's I've had this year.

Got in a trade with spelingchampeon. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 4/26/2018. Pours opaquely hazy golden orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rock off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a fantastic NEIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshingly easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft mouthfeel. Citra, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Amarillo hops. Insanely juicy hop complexity; awesome bready malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. One of the better ones I've had, loved the hop profile as expected.

Pours a hazy and murky orange color with a generous and large foam head. Good retention with a lathery film and multiple layers of sticky and foamy lace.
A juicy bouquet of citrus, tropical and assorted fruits hits the nose. Orange, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot and melon emit aromas that are sweet and zesty. A light amount of pine, grass slowly develop, as well as a brief appearance of herbal dank make a fleeting cameo.
Very juicy and sweet at first, with a frothy and smooth mouthfeel. It is full of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Furthermore, a full and chewy caramel malt like texture yields a flavor that threatens cloyingness. Luckily, a herbal hops flavor begins to develop in the middle palate and provides a piny prickliness and restrained bitterness. The finish has a citrusy and tangy acidity as well as resins bitterness.
Medium bodied and as aforementioned, frothy and smooth in the mouthfeel. Moderate to gently carbonated. Juicy and with a full malt character, yet balanced with some bitterness.
I liked this IPA. It felt like an NEIPA with some bitterness.

Can dated 04/25/18 into pint glass. Pours a hazy dark amber with a persistent off-white head. Initial impression is a juicy fruit bomb, with grapefruit, mango, passionfruit, melon, and orange rind making their presence known. There is a little bit of earthy dankness, but it's way in the background. Mouthfeel is juicy and mellow; carbonation is just about perfect. Finish is juicy and not particularly bitter. Quite tasty!
