Brewed with copious amounts of flaked wheat, and quadruple dry hoped with Citra, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Amarillo. Juicy notes of fresh pressed tropical fruit, ripe apricot, and honeydew.

Canned on 7-6-18 into a 16oz IPA glass. Quick settling head, nice lacing left behind.
L: Orange, hazy and inviting.
S: Very tropical, fruity (see below) and sweet.
T: Lots of tropical and fruit flavors...cantaloupe and melon at the fore.
F: Medium-Full-Creamy. Very little carbonation or bitterness.
O: This is the 5th or 6th time I've had Slam. I've been getting a crossover flavor of egg-custard and creamsicle in the aroma (milder in the taste), which I've never had before. One of the better IPA's I've had this year.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden/ orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is mango, grapefruit, pineapple, juicy. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer worth trying.

The looks aren't promising, coming from a pint can and emptied into a clear glass liter mug. A big foamy starched white head arises above a murky straw-amber colored and opaque brew. Wheat in the wort, the antagonist of a good IPA, is suspected. Few barley brewed IPAs have this sort of annoying head. Of course, it recedes slowly and unevenly. A lingering and puffy head should never be confused with presenting a good beer. There's no redemption from the aroma. It's starchy first, then mildly hoppy. Yep, as expected there’s a very thin mouthfeel carrying a mild dose of hops. Sometimes, a recipe that includes wheat tries to compensate for its lack of character by overly hopping the ale. Not true in this case. This has very little character, almost no malt, nor hoppiness and really isn't worth the trial taste. Good thing it was a single and not a four-pack. Never again.
