Notes:
Milk Shake
Brewed with an unreasonable amount of oat flakes and dry hopped with Sabro, Mosiac and Citra hops. Super creamy, notes of juicy fruit, crushed mango and pineapple.

Love this beer, whether on tap on in their big cans. A hazy, with a nice feel and taste. Creamy, with citrus flavor and mosaic hops. Rich and juicy with nice after notes. BTW, if you're in the area, stop by the brewery for a great raw bar!

Picked this up on a whim while in Delaware to try something local.
Bright, hazy orange topped with a thick, white head, it certainly looks the part of a NEIPA.
Strong fruity aroma of citrus and tropical fruit, with an undercurrent of sugary sweetness.
Oh my! This tastes heavenly! Those fruity, juicy, tropical flavors come through with just enough malt sweetness to balance it out perfectly. Not too fruity, not too sweet, but just perfectly balanced, with a rich, creamy mouth feel.
This was a delightful surprise, one of the best NEIPAs I've ever had! I could happily drink this every day. Even my brother, who's much more of a traditional IPA guy, remarked how much he loved this.
Big Oyster, if you're reading this, please start distributing to South Jersey! I need more Dripping Hazy IPA in my life!

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Drippity Drip Canned June 8th 2020.
Solid orange looking body, opaque and not turbid though. Creamy just a little off white colored forming three finger head. Very fine bubbles off the pour in the can with some soft looking retention.
Soft sensing like hop aroma, a light touch of tropical and orange like citrus on the nose. Faint hint of spicy zesty citrus oil as well in the mix too. A bit of sweetness sensing juiced fruit, but I don't get a bit lactose buzz off this on the nose at least.
Palate seems fairly straightforward. Light touches of milky and somewhat thick bodied mouthfeel. A hint of nice touching light hop orange citrus in the mid palate, but also a real sweetness on the finish mixing with a bit of chalky aftertaste in the mix as well. Good touches of orange flavor, mixing with a hint of cream as well.
Definitely in that NEIPA pocket, however some of the milk sugars create a bit of chalky aftertaste, but the beer manages a good hop forward citrus action.

From the can it pours a brassy golden color. Despite the haze, there is visible carbonation. A well retaining foamy thumb length head displays lots of lacing.
The nose opens with soft notes of tropical fruit, including guava, passion fruit and additional notes of pear, melon and grass. The malt aroma evokes notes of cookie dough and caramel. The sweetness of the aroma is further enhanced by creamy and sugary notes of lactose.
The opening is actually kind of pleasant as the taste highlights juicy hops amidst doughy malts. Flavors of mango, guava, passion fruit and melon align with the aroma. A modest amount of herbal spices aid the balance somewhat. However, the development of creamy and milkshake like lactose flavors disrupt the balance and make it a touch too cloying. Furthermore, there is an alcohol spice that is somewhat boozy and not very clean despite the accessible ABV.
Medium bodied with a very creamy oats like mouthfeel; not enough crispness. The finish is very fruity and creamy with an out of sorts lingering grassy bitterness in the aftertaste.
This one didn’t really do it for me even though I’ve enjoyed other offerings from this brewery. The main issue is that I’m not really a fan of IPAs infused with lactose; ie. “milkshake IPA”. I suppose there are better examples out there, however, the cloying sweetness and unbalance of this one made it a bit of a chore to drink.

Can dated 11/11/19 into pint glass. Pours a hazy amber with a brief off-white head. Initial impression is very juicy orange, mango, and grapefruit, with a nice caramel backbone. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Finish leaves lingering citrus with a slightly bitter fade. If I had one criticism it might be a little too sweet. One of Big Oyster's better efforts!
