Pours a light bronze color with white head and decent-sized white lace on the glass.
Aroma of darker fruits, raisins and plums along with a hint of clove and banana.
Flavor is similar to the aroma, dark fruits with some sweet molasses or honey added.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with big sweet front and a slightly spciy and alcoholic finish.
Drinkability is fairly high despite its relatively sweet taste.

Rather dull yellowish-orange with an off-white frothy head that faded quickly. Rather sweet on the nose, not too strong, very pleasant. Very tangy, sweet, citrus, many different sensations and tastes. It was very unique, feel and taste, lingered for a while. The aftertaste faded into something spicy that I wouldn't have expected from the beer that I just swallowed. Hard to describe, never had anything else like it to compare.

Pours a lovely amber color with a short white head that quickly disappears. The smell has malt, grain and fruit qualities. It tastes great: malty, a little fruity, and just enough bitterness to keep it all balanced.

Gulpener Dort is a great lager. It is a definite must-try from Holland.

As it sets in my glass, unambiguous copper color, and the head miniscule, the color an off white with the texture frothy and the resultant lace a filmy coating upon the glass. The aroma of sweet malted grains dominate, citrus crisp and clean, fresh and quite inviting as noses go, start is sweetly malt, the top slender in its feel to the palate. Finish has a distinct acidic bite, tart and tangy, hops are present but understated in their spiciness, very dry and lingering aftertaste, a quite quaffable brew.

A malty appearance and taste. First impressions are pleasant. Head is full and nicely laced. Very fine carbonation.

Can smell the alcohol here but not to the detriment of the bier. Very smooth initial taste with a slight after taste of hops.

I'll need a few more of these to go down before I get the full appreciation for this. All in all, a very good initial feeling about this.

Review #2: (changed Smell and Taste from 3.5 to 4.5)
Golden with a full light tan head, good carbonation and spotty lace. Nice balanced malt-hop aroma and flavor. Hops are a bit more noticeable when fresher. Medium bodied with a lightly sweet finish - a bit too sweet hence lower Drinkability score... wonder why they bother brewing this with Corn (per label) ?

Review #1:
Dark golden (copperish) color with a wispy ivory head. Biscuity malty aroma and taste. Soft malt character with a decent balance but still very malty. Medium bodied leans light.

Per Label: "Limburg Beer" & "Anno 1825" & "Water Barley, malt, hops, corn" ... CORN ?!?
