$ 4.40 (Including tax)/16.9 mL bottle ($ 0.260/oz) from State Line Liquors, Elkton, MD.
Unable to find date on bottle. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand-washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Golden-amber with a slight haze. Layer of sediment in the bottom of the bottle.
Head – Average (Maximum three cm, controlled center pour), off-white, creamy, average retention, diminishing to a three to six mm ring and a complete thin layer of extremely tiny bubbles. Head retraction leaves a complete ring of extremely tiny bubbles.
Lacing – None after the head retracts.
First pour – Gold, clear.
Aroma – 4 – Fruity with some yeast.
Flavor – 4.25 - Begins with light, sweet, malt followed by a bit of fruit (over-ripe apples) and some yeast. Unable to distinguish any hop flavor. No alcohol, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 4 - Medium, almost creamy, soft carbonation.
Impression and summation – 4 – A very pleasing and easy-drinking Hefe. Although I’m not a big consumer of wheat beers in general, I could easily and pleasurably drink a case of this. Incidentally, the price point is also easy to swallow.

This brew is a very hazy brownish murky color. The head is white and edium sized. The aroma is a pleasant mix of yeast, caramel, malt, wheat twang, and toast crust. Flavorful...yeasty, fruity...banana and mango?....toffee. Nice. Full in body and very satisfying.

500 ml bottle into weizen glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, light banana/clove/pepper, wheat, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, light banana/clove/pepper, wheat, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness and wheat tangon the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, light banana/clove/pepper, wheat, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/floral hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good and unique hefeweizen style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/floral hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. Even with the use of Kolsch yeast, you still a nice amount of flavor complexity and balance; with subtle banana/clove notes due to the wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering.

this is outstanding hefe type beer, different in that its slightly hoppy for the style, and that the yeast must have been fermented a little cooler, or its a more mild strain than normal, becuase that banana fruit thing is really mellowed out here, still there, but way subtle in comparison. orange hued beer, not as blonde as the industry standard, and far more clear too. a nose of grassy german hops and the yeast, with a really fresh wheat base. i always have in my head these beers are older when they show up here and make it home with me eventually, but this tastes really fresh, none of that dusty stale german thing. a slight spice even from the hops in the flavor, almost like some rye in there, dried and interesting, awesome. i like the hops in this, i like the body from the wheat, i like the dry but still somehow long flavorful finish. there arent many beers like this out there, and while i have loved everything i have had from these guys, this may be my favorite so far. a new take on traditional, i will be buying this again.

Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a tan/brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, wheat and banana. Taste is sharp wheat, green apple, some banana. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, not the flavor profile I would associate with this style, but a drinkable and decent beer.

From the 500 ml. bottle. Sampled on June 6, 2015.

Basic yellow-orange pour with a short-lived off-white head.

The aroma is toasty and malty with grassy hops. Typical German brew.

Light and refreshing body meets the style

The taste has a nice German malt toasty character with a vibrant grassy hop finish. About as balanced as it can get for the style. Nothing great. Nothing bad. Just on target.

What better way to celebrate ~18 hours of post-St. Patty's snow completely melting during a sunny Saturday afternoon than with a half-litre of hoppy hefe?

A - Pour to a boot reveals a darkish orange beer with some haze and plenty of rising carbonation bubbles. An off-white head retains nicely.

S - Crackery wheat, slight banana, some caramel sweetness, apple and various light citrus fruit.

T - Flavors a little more poppin' here, a decent balance is struck between hefe and hoppy but neither comes off very strongly. Some more banana bread presence, grainy wheat, pale malt, herbal and earthy hops, sugar cookie, some grape, a little bit of vanilla.

M - Good biggish body with decent carbonation. Light bitterness with a somewhat dry finish. Pretty easy drinking.

O - I wouldn't mind drinking this anytime, though it's on the plain side and doesn't really deliver anything too special. The hefeweizen side is decent, the extra hops don't add a whole lot. Still pretty tasty.
