Draft at Growler Guys. Pretty mild for an APA, not picking up much hoppiness at all. Faint bite near the back, lots of PILS character , not at all what I was expecting, and a bit disappointed.

Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$5. Happy hour.
Nice deep orange colored body. Clear. Small cream colored head. Great lace.
Aroma mainly citrus and floral hops.
Orange flesh..lemon rind.
Taste bitter for a pale. But very nice.
Good mouth feel. Well carbonated. Slightly bitter finish.
Nice APA.

i pretty much like everything these guys make, and i am always excited to find new ones out there around town. this is a real well made pale, northwestern in hop complexion but quite mellow to me in aroma and flavor, even subdued a little bit, but drinkable as they come, even if its a little muted. its deep golden in color with a pretty white head on it, radiant and classic looking, fills a shaker pint glass well. aroma is a little honey from the malt, citrus and pine from the hops, orange and spruce, wintery a little it, but super mild overall, seemingly low bitterness, with some slightly richer malt to balance. the flavor is good, there just seems to be less of it than in other pales that are hot right now, but i like its relaxed approach, very drinkable as they go. light sweetness though it, less bitterness than many, and a freshness to the hops that really stands out. some minerals and even a light tinny note, but this is clean and good on the fermentation side as well. medium bodied, lots of carbonation, very basic beer overall, but another well made one from these guys, who seem to do just about everything well. a pale ale to drink all day long.
