Growler from Albertsons. $6...can't beat the price. Pours out a copper/orange hue with a small fluffy beige head. So far so good. Initial aroma is toasted malt, brown bread, but soft. Taste is smooth and light, but body is a bit thin. Finishes with a bit of a metallic tinge, tannin perhaps.

on-tap @ Belmont Station.
from notes.

Deep ruby, with a foamy off white head.

Malty, bread and wheat notes, with light floral hops.

Medium+ body with foamy carbonation.

A very nice malt forward beer. Easy drinking, with lots of flavor. Certainly leaves me looking forward to trying more beers from this brewer.

Growler obtained in Baker City for Memorial Day weekend barbecue.

Clear medium brown body, good visible carbonation, under off-white head. Big malt attack in the nose, bready, biscuity, slight hint of roast balanced by floral hops. Taste mirrors the nose, very little bitterness. Mouthfeel on the light side of medium, good effervescence. Smooth, easy drinking personified, my buddy, who is not a beer head, had no problem consuming this. It's a shame this beer doesn't make it out of Baker City that often, as evidenced by multiple medals, this is a really, really good beer. Can't wait for the canning line (!) at new facility to be up and running this summer, IMO one of the world's great camping beers. Very highly recommended.

Served on tap into an imperial pint glass

A- Poured a rich chocolate brown with off-white frothy head that left chunky lace.

S- Very faint aroma. Some mineral notes, light cocoa, and caramel.

T- BIg brown sugar, toffee, caramel, cocoa, nutty notes, and some banana, pear, and yeast notes. Lots of toasted malt and a light spiciness, almost like a like cinnamon note.

M- Lighter bodied, pretty fizzy carbonation, and semi-dry finish.

O- A very complex and unique dark wheat ale with lots of traditional brown ale character and some nice fruity and yeasty notes. First beer I have had from Barley Brown's and I really enjoyed this.
