16oz undated can.

Pours cloudy gold with an inch of dense white. Retention is moderate with some average lacing. A blast of pungent, tropical hops in the nose. White grapes, mango, peach, pineapple, and grapefruit. Medium bodied with a tacky, resinous mouthfeel. Juicy, sticky citrus on the palate with zero malt and minimal bitterness. Peach, grape, mango, and pineapple. Finishes a bit sweet with lingering tropicals and a mild throat warmth.

First experience was at the brewery. Bursting with juice and a very clean taste overall. Kettlehead in general makes very juicy and very tasty beers in general. My understanding was that Quest was the first, and I'd say it's my favorite. Hazy, fluffy, the works. Eminently drinkable. Ended up purchasing several cans as I was impressed.

Sample at the NH Brewers Association Brewfest. Hazy murky dark yellow with a frothy white head. Tropical citrus and earthy pine with bits of bread to back it up

Thanks to SawDog505
Very juicy nose. Bright citrus, tropical notes that blend between pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, and then comes a bit of dank.
Flavor follows well. The dank goes toward a piney resin with a tinge of onion. But still juicy.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side, but a bit fluffy. Prickly carbonation rides along to the end.
Overall, a very tasty treat.

Thanks to jhavs for this one. 16oz can poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a full-un murky yellow, the same shade as the yellow of the paper label on the can. What I would imagine a pineapple milkshake would look like. With about 1/3 inch of white head that had low retention but decent lacing.

The aroma was all fruity hops, but not as fruity as lot of the Murky beers I've had. As seems typical, there was no apparent malt or grain counterpoints.

Very similar on the tongue; very subdued fruity malts only.

The body was thin, and had a medium finish.

Drinkability was OK; the beer went down smoothly and easily, but didn't make much of an impression on the way down. Overall, not terrible, but not notable. While I won't recommend it, I also won't deter anyone from trying it if they see it. As always, YMMV.

From a crowler, this beer looks like a glass of orange juice. There is a modest white head that leaves a lot of lace.
Big tropical fruit aroma.
Mango and pineapple taste, a little orange.
Very smooth and dangerously drinkable at 8.5% ABV.

The pour produces a brilliant, atomic tangerine hue mixed with shades of apricot. Cloudy like your Aunt Ruth's cataracts, this milkshake leaves a tremendous amount of broken guitar strings and cave pattern drawings in its wake. The last time I saw this much lace, I was drinking Everclear at a sorority party circa 2005. Cracking the can, I was ambushed immediately by an intense aroma of tropical fruit that engulfed my surroundings like Dante's Inferno. Taste follows with specific attributes of star fruit, papaya, mango, pineapple, Tropicana, cherry Starburst, muted acai berries, and subtle hints of conifer. The feel is soft and creamy, bolstered by the same pillowy comfort found in a Duxiana bed. Good lawd, this is some gourmet shit!!! The last time I saw moves like this, Ozone and Turbo were introducing the masses to breakdancing on the boardwalk of Venice Beach. Welcome to the world of next-level IPAs, Kettlehead. From Hunter's lips to God's ears. This one is LARRRGE!!!

Wow, this is an awesome DIPA that's been DDH'd. It smells and tastes very big with full tropical's and just a light hnit of bitterness. At 8% this could get a young drinker in trouble quickly, best to slowly savor it or you could have 2-3 of these inside you in a hour session.

Sampled at the brewery on February 18, 2018.

It pours a murky, cloudy yellow color.

Generally dank, tropical, juicy but clean on the nose. Very approachable and not overdone.

The body was light to medium but also smooth and creamy.

The tropical fruits of pineapple, guava, and mango play up decently in the flavor. Hopheads should delight over this one.

From a 32oz crowler, filled 02/01/18. Served in an imperial pint pub glass.

Pours a murky, pale, dull orange with a scant finger of tight, dimpled head. Retention is so-so good and leaves a fizzy cap with a thin curtain of lacing.

Nose is faint but I'm picking up some pineapple and... onion?

Tastes of sweet, bready malt and overripe pineapple, some melon and tangerine. Weedy and heavily dank, with a distinct onion and garlic character. Low bitterness, mild composty saccharine sweetness, an uncomplicated flavour profile with an abrupt finish.

Feel is chewy, medium-hefty bodied and well carbonated. Feels bigger than 8%, not in the sense of being boozy, which it isn't aside from a little warmth in the gullet, more like just, um, you know... big.

Overall, a pretty good NEDIPA and I'd definitely have it again. Actually, it's growing on me as I drink it down. A solid enough representation of the style.

On tap at the brewery then a crowler at home the same day. Brew is yellow, full on haze, fluffy white head leaves sticky lacing on the glass.

Big and assertive hop aroma. Earthy, resinous with and a bit herbal followed by ripe and sweet tropical fruit salad.

Juicy, sweet fruits, ripened mango and guava followed by sweet citrus juice. In the background is some pine with resinous, earthy dankness. The word dank is not something I use, but it is a suitable for this brews hoppy onslaught.

Gentle carbonation mixed with a soft and smooth medium body.

Nice blend of hop characteristics mask the 8% ABV, could go down quick if you're not paying attention. I would have bought cans if they didn't run out while I was sitting at the bar.

Overall excellent. This is a fresh, tasty double IPA with lots of wonderful refreshing flavors. I love the hazy orange / grapefruit look of the pour. I’m excited to have this local - finally a top DIPA I can count on.
