Crowler from the source.

Pours hazy gold with an inch of white foam. Retention and lacing is average. Peachy and a bit dank in the nose. Orange with cracked garlic. Medium bodied with a soft, creamy mouthfeel. Ripe citrus on the palate with zero malt and a minimal bitterness. Peaches and orange. Finishes with lingering tropicals and honey.

Got in a BIF from TheDoctor. 16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a fantastic NEDIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft feel. Amazing Mosaic/Citra showcase. Extremely juicy, and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfectly balance pale/wheat malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy for lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example despite lack of haze. Loved the hop profile as expected. Definitely has insane levels of dry hopping.

Serving: Can
No date (early September)

A:
PoursĀ a hazy orange-gold with two fingers of white meringue head that eventually drops to a ring. Ok retention; some swooping lacing. (4)

S:
Fresh tropical fruit smells. Mango, orange creamsicle, old socks, necco wafers. (4)

T:
Sweet citrus, creamy mango sweetness, over-ripe melon flavor that kind of blends in with the alcohol. (4)

M:
Thinnish body with fairly active carbonation and a lingering fruit juice finish. (3.75)

O:
This is a pretty tasty, very fruity IIPA.
It smells very juicy immediately upon opening the can. There is a lot of cantaloupe and mango sweetness with little else. The flavor follows suit with tropical fruits layered on residual sweetness. The feel is a little less-than-ideal for the style as it felt a bit thin. This was a good beer all told. I think that a little more bite or dryness might set off the rest of the flavors more and break things up. As it is, it was getting pretty sweet for me about halfway through the can. Overall, though, I enjoyed this beer. In many ways it was straight 4s for me, but the feel and the slow-building cloyingness of it made me decide to shave off 0.25. (3.75)

Poured into a Kettlehead can shaped glass canned very recently. Pours a dark hazy orange with a 2 finger head that leaves plenty of thin lace behind as it slowly settles.

Smell is guava, papaya, tangerine, and a little grapefruit rind.

Taste is exactly what you would expect, tropical front too back with some grapefruit bitterness that lingers sip after juicy sip.

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, soft on the tongue, low carbonation, not dry but a tad sticky on the tongue, and crazy drinkable at 8%.

Overall another winner from these excellent brewers.
