4/29/18 (Chicago): 16 oz. can w/ no canned date purchased at Beer on the Wall in Park Ridge for $4.61 plus tax on 4/18/19, poured into pint glass. Cloudy orange juice pour, light white head quickly dissipates with no lacing. Strong citrus hops aroma, slightly sweet.Nice firm balanced taste, citrus sweet balanced by firm slightly harsh hops and grapefruit. Firm mouth feel, light fizzy carbonation, easy going down. Overall very good NE IPA offering.

Released early February 2019; drank 3/17/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big white head; a thick curtain of frothy lace.

Wheat, tangy orange citrus & table sugar notes in the nose.

Soft, medium mouthfeel.

Tangy orange citrus & table sugar flavors up front; mild wheat notes on the finish. No booze heat.

OK flavor for a wheat beer, maybe, but for a NE IPA this tasted mild & cheap...the sugar notes were not up to par especially. Not one I'll return too.

16oz can, PKG 08/15/18. Opaque golden-yellow-orange colored body capped with a slowly fading thick & creamy off-white head. Juicy, zesty, and tropical fruit aroma hinting at grapefruit, passion fruit, and pine. Juicy hop flavors of tangy passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit zest, piney mango, and melon conglomerate on the palate. Creamy fuller body, moderate carbonation, finish is semi-bitter. Overall, a bit of a disappointment for me. I'd get Hop Nawi over this any day.

Very good but not great. The hops bitterness is lacking for the style, especially for citra hops. The fruits of melon, lemon, grapefruit, orange, make a nice puree on smell and taste. Body is viscous and oily, but a little carbonation or hops could fix that right up. Goes from wet to dry through the sip, nice.

Great beer. Not sure if I'd classify this as an NEIPA given the use of Citra rather than Mosaic hops. However, it's still very good, and it certainly resembles the look and mouthfeel of an NEIPA (but not its flavor and scent). Here goes:

A: Looks like an NEIPA. Pours a perfectly opaque yellow-orange (very pulpy) with a massive head. Head recedes, leaving a lot of lacing. It looks quite good.

S: Very herbal and grassy notes. Also a fair amount of lemon, grapefruit, and orange. Overall, a very herbally and fruity mixture.

T: Follows the nose, which is good. Very grassy and loaded with tropical fruit (grapefruit, lemon, oranges, and mango). Also very dank.

F: Very, very light. Again, this beer really mimics the mouthfeel of an NEIPA.

O: Not sure I'd classify this as an NEIPA, but it certainly looks and feels like one.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a pint can on August 21, 2018. New England style double IPA brewed with a boat load of hops from the Pacific Northwest. Decent.

The look was light and a little hazy. The smell was very nice with citrus, floral, and a little bit of pine. The taste was strong orange and grapefruit. Very juicy. The mouthfeel was a little light but pretty smooth. Overall I like this beer. Very well made

A-a cloudy yellow with two fingers worth of white head

S-tropical fruits and citrus

T-citrus, tropical fruit

M-light body and light carbonation

Overall a bit too light in body and carbonation, a bit more and would be excellent

Pours light and cloudy, with good lacing. A bit lighter in tone than peach juice. Floral hops and honey on the nose; peach, grapefruit, and cantaloupe on the palate. Very smooth mouth feel, but a touch watered down.
