Pours a pitch black color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is good. Chocolate and strawberries both come through one the aroma with mild roasting. Nice roasty chocolate taste with strawberry at the end. Taste real and smooth. Heavy bodied with mild carbonation.

Smoooooth. Flavorful. Plenty of strawberry on the forefront, blanketed by chocolate and vanilla, both in terms of smell and taste. Medium bodied, boozy presence. It’s not overly sweet, it’s not muddy or thick or oily. If all pastry stouts were like this, I would definitely enjoy them more.

Released February 2020; drank 4/10/20 @ the Yarchives.

Brown/black appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; a thick curtain of lace.

Strawberry syrup, mild milk chocolate & faint fresh earth notes in the nose.

Sticky medium thick mouthfeel.

Strawberry syrup & mild milk chocolate flavors up front; mild fresh earth notes on the finish.

Artificial tasting & not great; it's not an abomination, but there's no need to track this down.

A: The beer is jet black in color - only slight traces of dark brown are visible near the edge of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that has very good retention properties.
S: Moderate aromas of strawberries are present in the nose along with hints of chocolate.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of strawberries and chocolate covered strawberries with a slight touch of sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer makes for a very nice dessert stout and tastes just like you are eating chocolate covered strawberries - I couldn't believe how well the strawberries and chocolate were balanced in both the smell and taste. It also does a remarkable job at hiding any traces of alcohol from the taste.

Black with brown speckling and head. Chocolate liqueur, strawberry puree, vanilla, somewhat biscuit malt, and lactose. The strawberry is more fruit like than puree in the taste, welcomed, but everything seems to fade into biscuit and roast malt and barley obscurity, with chocolate left holding the bag. Feel is warm, malty, somewhat chewy and sweet. Love the series, this one was forgettable

16oz, canned just before Valentine's Day, but I don't know the exact date. Dark brown bodied stout with a thinner foamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, lactose, and strawberry along with faint roast and earthy hops. Smooth and balanced flavors: chocolate covered strawberry, vanilla, creamy lactose, and modest roasted barley. Full and very creamy & velvety body, ample carbonation, sweet finish with chocolate and strawberry hanging around on the palate; alcohol is non-existent. Just as expected - it tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry. Great work on this one!
