Waves is absolutely saturated with flavor and drinks extremely soft. Wave after wave of sexy hop candy, if there was such a thing as fluffy mango juice, this would probably be it.
Yeah, this is that.
Yeah, this is that.

Light orangey yellow haze makes up the body, two fingers of white foam. Aromas of mango, peach, melon, papaya and piney hops, airy. Taste adds some white grape and orange to the mix, hops are very bright on the finish but have good bitters. Feel is soft, airy, thinner but has great hops textures in the finish, just want a little more in the middle. Nice showcasing of the hops

A- Wavy tallboy pours into a tulip glass with a moderately hazy pale yellow body and a thick, creamy cap. The head rises powerfully to three fingers high and has very nice retention. Huge rings of lacing at each sip's end.
S- Mango, melon and citrus are the main things I am getting from this in an aroma that has medium overall aromatic strength. Oats, grapefruit, papaya, pine, floral and dank hops also show up.
T- On the juicier side but not just a juice bomb as the tropical fruit hops and a medium sweetness are balanced by dank, pine, floral, herbal and especially citrus hop notes. Oats are again a big factor and melon, mango, papaya, pineapple, grapefruit, orange and onion notes for specifics.
MF- Really nice and soft. Puffs up on the taste buds with a creamy and fluffy texture catalyzed by the high level of carbonation. Bittersweet finish.
Portland has a bit of a monopoly on consistently good brewers per square mile. IPAs, stouts, farmhouse ales, sours you name it, that city has it. Juicy and sweet with a creamy mouthfeel and citrus to balance.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy deep orange color with a finger of creamy white head. The head is stubborn, hanging around for days before eventually settling into a thick blanket of foam. Leaves a nice ring of cobweb lacing along the way.
The aroma brings notes of pineapple and peach rings, with hints of mango juice and grapefruit. There's a faint earthy pine character on the back end.
The flavor brings loads of pineapple, peach, apricot and melon with some mangoes, orange juice and grapefruit pith not far behind. Finishes very piney and slightly dank.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very soft, pillowy even. Creamy and faintly dry on the finish.
Overall, this is a great IPA. It's surprisingly drinkable despite the higher ABV, and the hops work extremely well with the subtle malt character. Just a nice beer all around.
