Full, soft, bright-white head. The foam cap recedes to a thin film that lingers throughout, leaving great lacing on the edges of the glass as I sip. Gorgeous. My pour doesn’t have the clarity mentioned by other reviewers, it’s somewhat clear though. Tons of carbonation bubbles migrate up the beer during my session. Nose is 100% earthy damp Saaz with a splash of malt character. For tasting notes I get red apple skins, lemon, white pepper, oats or other soft grains, with old-world hops on the finish. The mouthfeel is soft, high carbonation as expected, and finishes pretty quickly. Overall a delicious warm weather beer and a nice bo-pils! Glad I bought a 4 pack.

Look - pint can purchased at the brewery and poured into a 12 oz tulip glass. Straw yellow, slightly cloudy, with a huge frothy head and excellent retention.
Smell - grassy/herblike flavors, light honey-like sweetness, and a lot of biscuit and crackery malts. clean overall.
Taste - hop forward in flavor, as a good Czech pilsner should be. plenty of good hoppy bitterness followed by a rush of nice malty flavors, and the finish is perfectly clean. an excellent rendition of the style.
Feel - light bodied, high carbonation, and standard ABV for the style at 4.8%.
Overall - this is a phenomenal Czech pilsner, and one of the best I've had of the style in a very long time. my first beer from Shaidzon out of a 4 pack gift, and this one sets the bar very high.

Consumed 4/25/20

Pale gold, crystal clear, pours with a large white head
Super clean pilsner malts, grain, cereal, light bread, mild to moderate Czech hops (perfect level for my preference) with some grass, pepper, and spice, low bitterness, mild grainy sweetness, extremely clean overall
Light to medium body, very crisp, medium carbonation

I'd place this Pils from Shaidzon somewhere between "legit" and "phenomenal." Seriously, this is by far the best lager I have had from the entire state of Rhode Island and is good enough to be mentioned in the same sentence as Suarez. I regret not buying more.

This is a classic Czech Pilsner. Very crisp, refreshing and clean tasting. I'm not good at describing all the aromas and mouthfeel stuff. Suffice it to say that it's a very good and drinkable beer that I go back to again and again.

No canning date

Pours a clear light straw with 2.5 fingers of thick, white head; long retention and soapy lacing holding almost relentlessly to the side of the glass.

Aromas of bright, floral straw with undertones of damp hay; an earthy sweetness builds toward the finish, imparting strong tones of smooth oak and a light barnyard herbaceousness; smooth and very aromatic bouquet overall.

Taste brings a nice mixture of hay, grain, oat, and earthy oak notes, with an herbal spike interspersed throughout the profile and ultimately trending toward a finish of barnyard wood and toasted nuts, with a hint of citrus in between.

Mouthfeel is on the drier side and consistently crisp while holding tightly to a well-concealed but present body; nice carbonation and delivery of flavor without becoming a weight on the palate.

Interesting character to this pilsner; its earthy sweetness is rather unique to my palate, but manages to weave itself nicely into the profile without becoming overwhelming as a defining characteristic.

16oz. can served in a willibecker. Pours a pale gold with a translucent clarity and a soft, half inch, bright white head that sizzles and pops as it slowly recedes. Copious tiny bubbles are present adhering to the sides of the glass. Nose is clean and grassy with a kiss of noble hops. Taste consistent with nose - clean and crisp. Mouthfeel is light in body with an assertive carbonation and a crisp, semi-dry finish. Overall, pleasant and drinkable and spot-on to style.

Enjoyed this beer in a sampler tray at the brewery and consequently ended up purchasing a 4-pack before leaving. Turned out to be a very wise decision as the canned Buffalo Czech did not disappoint. In today's world of IPAs this Czech Pilsner is a refreshing and highly drinkable alternative that is an excellent rendition of that historic style. I hope this becomes a year-round product for Shaizdon as I'll be back for more.
