330ml bottle. Tulip glass. Golden amber, clear appearance. White froth creates a close but quickly dissipated head. Belgian yeast, herbal, spiced, crystal malt aromas & hints of anice. Sweet maltiness at first sip. Full body. Moderate carbonation. Oily. Warming alcohol & herbal bitterness in the middle. Dried nut soft astringency. Slight sugary finish & spicy touch.

330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. BB date 09.08.13. ABV is 9%. Hazy deep golden to pale brown colour, moderate white head. Sweetish and spicy aroma, typical of belgian ale yeast - but also some "unfresh" hints, which may or may not be caused by aging. Quite refreshing flavour for a 9% beer, not as sweet as many other tripels, spicy and malty notes, hints of brown kandij sugar, despite the beer apparently being "Reinheitsgebot". Decent hops in the finish.

330ml bottle. Hazy yellow with many streams of bubbles but almost no head. Smell is earthy Belgian yeast plus citrus notes. Tastes of cloves, peardrops & alcohol. Rich, dense mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. Decent tripel.

33cl bottle. Hazy orange, with a white head that gives way to a thick lacing. Smells of Belgian yeasts, bananas, spices and honey. Bitter-sweet and herbal taste, with notes of herbal hops, lemon zest, bananas and spices.

Orange haze, light at the bottom and darker at the top, with a nice frothy head with excellent retention. Smell of lemon zest, orange, cloves and banana. Taste is quite citric as well, with some herbal and malty notes. Alcohol is present, but mixes well with the other flavours. Mouth feel is smooth, especially at the sip. Nice tripel, but a bit standard.

Sampled a 0.33l bottle of this at In de Wildeman on 29SEP15. A bit pricey at €6.10, though.
Poured into a slender tulip, it was a cloudy, orange marmalade color. Had a frothy, off-white, mousse-like head and excellent stick. Aroma was mild, bready and grainy, with some sweet fruit and yeasty notes. Had a medium body and was quite smooth.
Flavor possessed light sweetness with candi sugar evident. Had more fruit but was mild, with a bit of orange and apricot noted. Finish was yeasty, dry and crisp. Not bad, overall, though overpriced, imo. Zum Wohl!!

On-tap at Jopenkerk, Haarlem, Netherlands
A: The beer is hazy light pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down and left lacing on the surface and down the ides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of candi sugars and sweetness are present in the nose along with some hints of green apples.
T: The taste is slightly sweet and has flavors of candi sugars along with hints of fruits and yeast.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation along with some hints of warming deform the alcohol.
O: This beer isn't very fruity for a triple but manages to hide any flavors of alcohol very well from the taste.

A clear, orange, copper beer with a settling head.
The smell is mostly bready and dough. The beer smells malty with notes of honey, dextrines and some lavander and camomille.
The taste is malty with notes of sweet dextrinous malt which add a honey taste. The bitterness is nicely balanced by the full body. The hops appear to be a mixture of US and European hops. There is a citric layer, as well as a herbal and earthy taste. A nice take on the tripel style, somewhere in the middle of an IPA and a tripel.
