Typical german hefeweißbier with slightly less citrus and more bananas aftertaste than most hefeweissens. Bought in bottle form from a store in Celle Germany.

A - Hazy light brown - to gold in color, unfiltered. Not much in the way of head or lacing, but enough.
S - Smell of bananas
T - Good beer, Not as strong of a flavor as some other hefeweizens, some citrus, coriander and a strong aftertaste of banana stand out.
M - medium-light body, average carbonation.
O - Good beer! Probably not the best hefeweissen i've ever tried but maybe in the top 10.

After the obligatory swirling of the 50 cl bottle with the last quarter of the beer to get all the hefe (yeast) into the glass (I absolutely love it when they do that in a restaurant!) I got about an inch head that slowly disappeared into a thin layer of small bubbles. The color is a misty yellow, typical of a hefe Weizen. The smell isn't very strong, some sweetness and the everpresent banana. The taste had something metallic in it that I couldn't place and certainly didn't appreciate. It remained in the aftertaste. But there was plenty of CO2. All in all not a bad Weizen but there are many better than this brew.

500 ml bottle, bought in Germany. This beer is brewed in Oettinger’s brewery in Schwerin. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy (less hazy than many other hefes), large and fluffy white head. Aroma and flavour have some some of the traditional hefe characteristics (banana and cloves), but to a weaker degree, and there are also some soapy elements in the aroma. I tend to like nearly all hefeweissbiers, but this one definitely belongs in the lower end of the scale. Still drinkable and refreshing.

Smooth, grainy, and pretty sweet. I guess this beer is OK if you enjoy chewy, wheat laden beer. This one has a cloudy pour with lingering foam and a steady stream of carbonation. Has a hay-like, honey-orange disposition with a light metallic after taste. There are better wheat concoctions out there.
