The inspiration for our Double IPA Series comes from the monsters & myths which captivate our imagination with legendary lore. For our 2nd release, we celebrate the big-footed “hide-and-seek world champion” with a mighty, hop-forward West Coast Double IPA. "Jacked ‘Squatch" is packed with a beastly amount of Citra, Centennial, Simcoe & Vic Secret hops for an aromatic blend of citrus, peach, pine, and tropical fruit.

16oz can from Half Time. Golden/copper pour, thin ring of white foamy head. Aroma is light hops with some toffee malts. Taste is sweet, caramel with mildly astringent hops. Seems thin in body, a light bitterness lingers along with some alcohol heat.

A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 1+ finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a thin cap; very nice lacing;

S: not a lot of aroma; what's there is a very nice strawberry and peach combination;

T: follows the nose from start to finish; balanced through the middle; the finish features some peach skin bitterness;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; hides the ABV very well;

O: enjoyable; interesting and different aroma and flavor;

Looks almost clear and a bit amber. Smells like hoppy berries, very nice. Taste is clean and hoppy and as expected for an IPA or 2X IPA. An all around good beverage that you can enjoy. Medium bodied and hoppy yet very tasty.

16 oz can received in the insane ipa fest

Poured into an ipa , three finger white foamy cap, good retention settles to a layer and ring over a clear golden liquid with streams of micro carbonation , spotty lacings

Aroma is pine, peach

Taste is pine

Mouthfeel is sudsy , gentle hop bite on the finish

Good beer

A solid DIPA West coast to the bone Huge head. Lots of lace, tons of it actually. Brilliantly clear gold.

Nose has caramel malt sweetness, Large amounts of pine and citrus.

Taste has lots of caramel and light grains. A bit of toffee like darker sugars. Grapefruit and hop oil. Finish is short and relatively clean. Just a touch of oil lingering.

Feel is lightly creamy with a medium weight. Goes down well.

Quite nice. True to the West Coast paradigm.

DATE: April 30, 2021... OCCASION: hanging on/in at the IPA Fest--maybe all six at 16 oz. in 3 hours wasn't the best idea... GLASSWARE: Duvel pokal...a heavy dose of tobacco and pineapple collide with this beer… a bronze bodied, off-white headed beer that regally situates itself-- a righteous looking ale in itself... full-bodied, powerful, thick with hops, crunching at every sip... big melon, lemon and resin… some of the tobacco manifests here... the pineapple takes over in its aftertaste... another cool can, another great beer--Jeff, the collector of all beers Sasquatch, needs to get on this one!

Poured from can into tulip, good 2 finger off-white head, great retention and lacing. Amberish golden in the glass, crystal clear to look at. Sweet malt on the nose along with citrus, berries, pine and vanillin. Taste follows the nose, a good dose of malt sweetness, citrus and berries on the front, smooth's out in the middle with a slight vanillin, some dankness and finish with a good firm bitterness. Dry finish with a slight tannic aftertaste, which is welcome. Nice beer, this could have been a sweet malty mess, but is is very drinkable.

From the IPA Fest. Canned on April 5th. Floral and fruit waft up from a finger of froth on top of a clear amber pour. Controlled bitterness, balances out the malt's supporting role. Nice finish, clean and free from any off taste. Nicely done from Atlanta.

From IPAFEST and my notes. A 4/6/21 canned beer poured a clear amber color. Aroma is citrus and fruit. Tastes of sweet citrus and light malt. Very easy drinking mouthfeel. Overall a very nice sweet citrus IPA.

The beer is amber golden color, foam is coarse and rich. It smells citrusy and tropical, shows orange juice, blueberry and strawberry smoothie, mango and jackfruit smells. The beer is medium body, for a double IPA is very crispy and smooth. The beer is well balanced bitter sweet, it’s not a malt forward double IPA. It release a strong tangerine flesh, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry fruity aroma, that’s a lot of berry fruitiness. There’s jasmine flora, mixed with a light leafy hops aroma, as jasmine tea. There’s caramel, simple syrup, some light jackfruit ester fruity, lemon cello, lotus seeds, lotus, bamboo leaf aromas, that’s quite elegant. This beer is well balanced, smooth, the fruitiness aromas and fragrances are elegant and subtle. The washed out jasmine tea or lotus aroma are quite lovely. I didn’t sense any overpower alcohol burning in this beer, can’t feel the 9% ABV. It’s a perfect beer to drink alone in a hot summer day, I really enjoy the berry and lotus character which is very rare in nowadays IPAs. I can’t find the dankness, maybe I was just spoiled by more dank hopped NE-style IPAs. The bamboo leaf aroma is like what we normally cook with sticky rice, and that elegant fragrance have a calming effect.

From the can (IPA Fest in Cyberspace Provided), it pours a clear golden color with a nice off-white head that slowly reduces as you enjoy the brew. Lacing, Citrus in the nose. The mouth gets the same, with some bitterness and a smooth feeling overall.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass; canned 04/06/21.
A: Pours a crystal clear, golden to orange color with generous champagne sized bubbles evident throughout, a two finger, light caramel head, at least half a finger of foamy retention, and gorgeously complex rings of sticky lacing all the way down the glass.
S: Aromas of white grapefruit, butternut squash, cucumber, caramel, and pine predominate. Definitely sweet tea and very subtle Band-Aid® note as it warms.
T: No more than semisweet. Complex with flavors of white grapefruit, caramel, pine, and black oolong tea evident. Band-Aid® appears to have dropped out. Very peppery bitterness ending with a clean, clearly minty finish.
M: Medium bodied with solid carbonation.
O: First, I really appreciate the look of this beer: the care that went into the clarity is evident. Delicious on the nose and particularly palate. This is a solid example of what can be done with American Imperial IPA style. Enjoyed it immensely.
