A locals bar, with live music on Tuesdays. Nice quiet patio overlooking a bronze statue in the square of local music icon Jacques Brel, with another bar terrace on the opposite side. Inside it's fairly cozy with a few tables around and a standing service bar on the left side. Some low slung easy chairs in the back.

Service was great, the bartender chatted with us when it was slow.

The first few beers I tried to order were out, but we settled on Cantillon Gueuze and a nice coffee stout from L'Ermitage. Lambic bottles from BBP in the back cooler, I think they may actually own the place now. I've heard it's a bit different than it used to be, but we enjoyed ourselves. Nice spot to watch the world go by.

Really cool place. On the smaller side, focused more on modern Belgian craft than classics. 20 taps plus hand pumps. Solid quality across diverse style range. I really enjoyed this place.

 

Small, cozy beer bar with some outdoor tables for nice weather. Tap list is strong and full of quality. One of the first people there in the afternoon as they were just opening but the bartender was friendly and happy to provide samples. A sneaky spot in an otherwise touristy area.

Stopped in by recommendation of a waiter from Poechenellekelder. I was there at open, so hard to get a vibe of the place when I was the only one in there. Solid draft list and the bartender was great.

 

Great beers in tourist center of Brussels. One block from the mannekin pis fountain. Mellow vibe, with bartenders spinning vinyl on two turntables and serving up some Cantillon on tap and bottle.
