Notes: Created as the worlds first double NEIPA hiking beer we set out to push the limits of our dry hoping schedule. We use an obnoxious amount of Galaxy and Michigan Copper hops to provide a seductive tropical fruit aroma. It is backed up by a super creamy mouthfeel with a slight sweetness.

From a can dated 01/16/2019, poured into a tulip . 50F+/-

Very hazy orangey-pinkish-gold, with ample white head, that leaves 1" of lacing .

Smell? Whoa! I can smell the pineapple juice from 8' away. Closer olfactory inspection also reveals some grapefruit, tangerine, peach/apricot,mango, and a little boozy aroma.

The first flavor that hits is peach, but unlike the fruit, not sweet. Then a melange of tropical fruit that more-or-less follows the aroma, with no one flavor standing out, just briefly waving "Hi" , as it passes by. It finishes with some slightly tangy astringency, and bitter almond/stone fruit pit flavor . That tangy/astringent element is a plus right now. Given the young age though, I'd guess that fades in a week or so, with no ill effect.

Feel is moderately creamy/oily , with some very fine carbnation tingle on the finish . Leaves a lingering creamy feel on the front of the tongue, and back of the lips, and a slight lingering warmth at the back of the thoat & palate.

Overall? Fantastic beer! Very smooth and easy-drinking. Well-balanced, between the bitter and the sweet. The flavors and the aromas blend well. The slight astringency & warming lingers a bit long but a minor point and will probably fade. I'll reassess in a week and two weeks(ish) . Highly recommend this. Definitely let it warm up.

Edit : yeah, the alcohol is no longer apparent after 3 weeks. This is at peak at 4-6 weeks old. Could add .25 for feel.

A fruit bomb. I think it has a sweet taste, more than just fruit.
It also has a feel, smell and taste like an Other Half beer would. Is the brewer a spinoff?
Would definitely get again.
