This was a single I picked up in Truckee on my way back from of all places, Moksa in Rocklin.

Pours a yellow light orange light hazy like ipa in that netherworld in between, not fully committing to the hazy appearance, but far from clarity as well. Doesn't have the thick hazy appearance, just medium strength, 1/3" white head. Poured into a U of Nevada pint glass. The aroma, well its an experimental hop (HBC 586). I would say this hop comes off as parts of Sabro, Strata and Saaz. You've heard of "C" hops, well this is like "S" hops. Peppery, lagery, passion fruit, passable berries, lychee. I 'think' this is an aroma hop.

The body isn't too trubby or flaked out, more in line with traditional barley backed beer. Taste had that p poppin going on: passion fruit, persimmon, papaya, pepper. There was a light bitterness and booziness aspect. I guess it fell in line with Moksa hop expectations. I didn't think the new hop variety was all that the commercial tug job made it out to be. It doesn't do anything a bunch of other ones out there already have going on.

Juice it is. Very sweet. Notable for moderate acidity. Pours a hazy yellowish with long-lasting foam in the Societe nonic. Seriously aromatic with tangerine and papaya, followed by flavors of every kind of citrus peel. Some astringency in the aftertaste.

Strong and fruity with a pleasing sudsy mouthfeel. But followed by the hot sharp taste of all these fruit cocktails. Still, it is more likeable than average hazy brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine. Dated 09/17/20 on the bottom.

Has the small notes of juice and dryness. Not too heavy on either side. Doesn't really leave you lusting after your next sip, but a very well balanced beer for those breaking into this juice DIPA world.
