Appearance is a nice red color with medium head. Looks pretty good in the glass.
Odor is of some floral, piney green and maybe sweet candy or caramel.
Taste is nice and strong with green notes. Perhaps pine and also floral. Has a slight background of toffee. Has some hops bitterness as well. Mouth feel is pretty good. Is relatively light on your tongue. Overall, a nice red/amber ale with some strong flavors.

Served in a nonic pint glass at the brewpub.
Part four of my Pint Night Waltz through the brewpub. It pours a clear garnet-topaz topped by a finger of dusty cream foam. The nose comprises light leek, pine, toffee, dark greens, and light nutmeg. The taste holds notes of toffee, light pine, light greens, and biscuits. The body is a light medium, with a very light moderate carbonation and a sorta silky feel. Overall, a very nice red, one worthy of Tailgunner Joe's moniker.

Sampled 10/7/2010 at the brewpub.
Pours standard clear red color with off-white rocky head, decent retention, and a tiny bit of lacing.
Smells like toffee, caramel, and pine.
Tastes bitter, caramel, pine, CO2, and chalky. Could be better if the CO2 was dialed down a bit.
Body is light/medium, and is drinkable.
Tick.
