Industrial vibe with pleasant modern touches. Softly lit opaque lamps hung above the bar, and a large wall mural of the old timey brewing process decorated the north wall.

A good place for groups, seating is available at long tables, plus an outdoor patio. Bar seats a dozen plus.

Beer selection is varied and quality, but not vast. They had just run out of the BA Doppelbock that recently won gold at FOBAB. The Helles and Vienna were good, but I was most impressed by a west coast DIPA. A fruited sour ale, golden coffee stout, and winter spiced imperial red rounded out the seasonals.

Bartender was very helpful and friendly. Post-holidays they were understandably out of a few things, like crowlers and swag.

Overall it was a great experience, and I’d make a point to return again to try more of their rotating beer lineup.

Stopped in here with my buddy after he was off work to try out a new brewery he'd had his eyes on for some time. It's a couple blocks from the train station, on the seeming edge of the downtown shopping area (though, since I don't know Elmhurst all that well, maybe not). The two-tiered space is semi-industrial, with a darker theme than, say, a Chipotle-style décor. The upper level has plenty of additional seating, while the main floor has the bar, the brewing equipment, and more seating. Plenty of space for activities. Flights helped power us through the decently-sized range, which leaned toward a German/American influence. Pretty nice oatmeal stout, a decent kolsch, the wit needing a bit of a tweaking. So on and so forth. The bartender was genial and accommodating; food may or may not have existed, but I wouldn't have had any regardless; and pricing seemed standard for the area. Overall, a nice addition to the local beer scene, a place I'm likely gonna visit at least again, thanks to its convenient, rail-friendly location.

Hit this place for a late lunch. Fairly standard setup with the ground level being a bit loud but not so bad you had to yell to be heard. A slew (15) of interesting brews. Tried a half a dozen - 5 were very good most notably their golden coffee stout and Imperial Berliner colab. Only the NEIPA being came up a bit short. Service was good. Had the burger which was good but nothing special - and shouldn't be. Plenty of food options. Worth checking out.

Got to say the nicest people work here. It was the brewer and the bartender in on the random afternoon I dropped by. Passionate about their craft and the business. Selection was smaller but the barrel aged options were sneaky high. All around good beer, nothing groundbreaking but all fun and well made. Elevated town brewpub vibe

Elmhurst Brewing is strategically located near the Metra commuter train station. It has an industrial feel with a decent sized bar and plenty of tables. I believe they have live music there on Thursdays. The quality of the food and beer were above average. The service was kind and attentive. They had 13 of their own beers on tap and the food menu had plenty to choose from. The food was very good....cheese curds were SOLID!

I have been here three times now and thought it is time to do a review.

Let’s start with the physical space. It is very nice. They did a great job of making this older building into an attractive brewery/tap room. High ceilings, nice custom iron work, and attractive furniture add to the ambiance. The bar is along the south wall and seats maybe a dozen. There are large windows on the west and north sides so you get some nice natural light.

They have a really nice beer garden and often have live music on weekends.

Service at the bar is topnotch with friendly and knowledgeable tenders. I wish the young leaning wait staff was as attentive. You can a long time between beers if you are sitting outside.

The beers are well done. I think I counted nine house beers plus a special beer available to their mug club members. I enjoyed their Helles, IPA & APA and really tried to like their Kolsch but it was a near miss.

I have had their food but will wait until later to review as I wasn’t really paying that much attention to it.

This is a nice addition to the Elmhurst beer scene.

Visited on a Friday night around 9pm in February. Got one of the last tables. Service was attentive. The high ceilings make this a noisy place. Music wasn’t especially loud, yet the four of us had real trouble hearing each other. Got a cheese spread app that was ok and Friday night fish fry with a really thick batter. Started with a flight. The AcK pale ale was bad. Very astringent aftertaste. Grapefruit DIPA was better, but that’s relative. Golden coffee ale was a step in the right direction, and the Baltic Porter was solid. Our table managed to try most of the 13(!) beers on menu, including one that wasn’t, and determined that EBC’smuch better at darker beers than paler ones. IMO they should pare the selection and concentrate on a core selection. I don’t know what they want to be known for, unlike More in VP or Noon Whistle. Work to be done. Will return as the beer garden has potential.

Kinda busy on Sat afternoon for just opening 3 weeks before. Staff was friendly, selection of beers were good. Food was available and looked good. Kid friendly for those who care. We had 4 beers and all were above average. Parking might be tight. Co-owner spent time telling us about the beers. Good start!

Large space with a bar and tables to accommodate a lot of people. Brewing vessels are directly behind the bar so there is that warm stale beer smell in the air. Quality of the beer is below average. Service at the bar was decent. They do have a large selection of their own beers to choose from. I did not try any food.
