“Het enige echte originele Wagenings bier” (A real original Wageningen Beer)
Picked up at De Bierkonining in Amsterdam on March 14, drank April 6, 2007

Moderately hazy, golden orange color with big white head of medium-small bubbles that dissipates to a decent sized film. Nice lacing around side. Carbonation ebbs forth from the sides of the glass. Aroma is clean and yeasty with notes of pine and orange. Full bodied and high on carbonation, smooth with a hoppy, dry finish. Metallic, orange flavor, though not very citrusy per se. Characteristic yeastiness and sweet malt is subsumed by a potent addition of hops. This beer tastes like a cross between a tripel and imperial IPA. A quite tasty and original take on the style.
