A: Coffee beans upfront, followed by light roast grains, with a finish that is slightly sweet almost syrup like aroma.

A: Deep brown color with a light amber hue. The beer has a dense off-white head that dissipates into a thin film/ There is light lacing in the glass.

T: Coffee bean flavor upfront, light grain roast that is slightly sweet. The beer has a light bitterness on the finish.

M: Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Pretty solid; the coffee beans well compliment the brown ale base. The light roast provides big coffee aroma and flavor with little bittering. As such, the beer is pretty sessionable and easy to drink.

On tap at Highland Park Brewery in Los Angeles, CA.

Described as a session coffee beer with Trystero Coffee.

Pours an opaque super dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, chocolate syrup, and coffee bean aromas. Taste is much the same with chocolate syrup, coffee bean, and brewed coffee flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with fantastic aromas and flavors for a session beer.
