First impression: a very friendly place, moderately upscale with a fairly large eating room completely separated from the bar area. The bar itself is not very large, and it has a limited seating area on the periphery. Barely enough room to get all those Trojans fans who showed up. But its adequate space. So Temecula must be inhabited with USC Trojans fans. The sampler had several good tasting beers. On the walls behind the reception area as you walk in were decorative signs of each beer. A nice touch. The service was very good and the appetizers were excellent. It's tough to review a brewpub when you visit it the same day upon returning from a Pizza Port Stong Ale Festival. Your tastebuds are still recovering from the double IPA's. I'll need to go back.

I have long loved Oggi's pizza from many Chargers games in Qualcomm Stadium, but for some reason this was my first stop in the actual restaurant.

Stopped in with my girlfriend around noon on a Friday. This place is definitely a sports bar, with a plethora of TVs tuned to various ESPNs and other sports channels, including one (though turned off) in the bathroom even, and a ton of old sports photos and memorabilia on the walls.

The pizza was, as I remember, excellent, and I ordered what unfortunately turned out to be a very mediocre hefeweizen along with it.

Maybe it was just a bad day, but our service was awful. A cranky hostess seated us in the restaurant before we were attended to by a magically disappearing waiter. Between getting our food and having to wait for the check, we didn't even see him once. So the upside of the visit was the pizza, the downside... everything else.

Had dinner with my wife last night. Good pizza- lots of cheese and goodies on top. Very much a pizza joint with a good beer selection. Definitely caters to the sports crowd- I lost count of TVs, including the small one in the bathroom (now that's class!).

The beer was good- 6 Oggi's beers (hefe, Torrey Pines IPA, Scottish Ale, Pale Ale, Amber Ale, and one I forgot- probably a blonde or light lager) and a full bar. We ate in the dining room, so I didn't see if they had any bottled or guest beers. The Scottish Ale was pretty good. The IPA was my choice, and although it didn't really fit my preferred hop profile, I could tell it was well made and probably quite popular with hop heads.

Definitely a good place, enjoyable, and would gladly stop in if I was nearby, but not worth a long-distance pilgramage.

We hit up Oggi's on the way back from the San Diego Strong Ale Fest (attended with Chappy052). After arriving here we decided that we wanted to sit in the bar. Prior to sitting down in the bar the manager strictly stated "there is no moving tables together" and gave us a nasty look. "Ok?" we said back and proceed to sit at scattered tables. After a few minutes our waitress came over and insisted that we move the tables together, which we went ahead and did while the manager glared at us with the "evil eye". Putting the story aside, this Oggi's location did not live up to the hype that we've been hearing about the San Diego locations. We tried the sampler and each beer was OK, nothing special. The best of the bunch was an IPA, but it tasted more like a weak Pale than anything else. The atmosphere in the bar was nice. We liked all the TVs (about a dozen or so) which you could see from all viewpoints. We ordered a few appetizers which were also pretty good. All in all, a very nice place in a good location (the grid-lock traffic kills me). The beer could be better, but this is a new brewery that needs to establish itself. I wish they could bring in beer from other locations until they get it right!
