Imperial Milk Stout with Vanilla. Branch & Bone crafted this decadent sipper with a grain bill featuring maris otter, crystal malt, chocolate malt, and flaked oats. Ribbons of vanilla and lactose give each swig extra layers of silky smoothness.

16 ounce can, no dating I could find on it. Thanks once again to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half frothy tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, burnt/charred malt, cream, dark chocolate and dark fruit/berries. For the most part I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bread, toffee and nutty flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this one was a good overall imperial stout, but then Branch and Bone does a great job with all of their stouts!

Poured at fridge temp. Pours black with an abundance of light tan head. The nose is roasted malts, vanilla, and chocolate.

The taste is really nice and smooth. Vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, nuts, and a bit of brown sugar. Not overly powerful, but nice and well rounded.

The mouthfeel is creamy and medium bodied. The aftertaste is chocolate and vanilla.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent brew we picked up at
Centerville Liquor pours a rich obsidian with an excellent head of brown
foam that settles to a thick ring and layer with excellent lacing. Nose of
dark chocolate, dark coffee, cream, char, toffee, and dark fruit hints.
Flavors knock it out of the park with dark coffee, dark chocolate, cream,
char, brulee, dark fruits of black and blueberry, deeply roasted malts,
and touches of dark bread crust with earthy vanilla. Mouthfeel is full,
smooth, lightly slick, coating, rich, lightly warming, and finishing with
a perfect bitter malt note.

Overall----WOW!

We visited them, but they had only one dark offering....this however is
exceptional!

Cheers
