The beers were ho-hum and the selection was awful. Little to no creativity or complexity, smallest seating area EVER for a brewery, staff wasn't very knowledgeable about beer overall, off flavors in several brews...felt more like a tourist trap than a brewery giving their maximum effort. Can't see how these guys will stick around long term if they didn't have new tourists in town daily. Could be fantastic but is less than run-of-the-mill right now.

If you're in the area make a stop at Mountain Layers! We were warmly welcomed by one of the owners (we think)...tried several of there beers, Nydee Effret IPA Silly Puppy pale ale, and Newfound Gap Golden Ale were very good! They have a small interior room, but their second story deck is great for an evening under the stars.

If you are in this area, you should stop in. Newer brewery, great taproom, patio with "mountain" views. My favorites: Tears of Joy IPA, Rye to Nowhere Rye IPA, and Highway 28 Double Red Ale. Tap room server, Eddie, excellant!
