Altough listed as 'retired' i had this beer (or two) from the tap last week in my favourite pub the Bonte Koe in Purmerend (Holland).
I liked it alot, maybe better then their bokbier.
The colour was light brown with an orange glow, it had little foam.'
The taste was friendly but interesting, not the type to finish in a few minutes. It had a nice mix of spices, sweet and warmth over it.
The tastes were distict but never overdone.
Seasonal, but always welcome in the darker part of the year.

Bottle, 300 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip glass.ABV 7,5%
Pours a light amber beer, with a big off white head, average retention and no lacing.
Light roasted malts on the aroma, caramel, some spices.
Taste follows the aroma, only not so much roasted malts but more of a caramel and chocolate/toffee taste. Overall quite sweet.
Thin to medium body, light carbonation. Dry on the palate.
Not bad, but it could use a bit more body and carbonation, as the end result is a bit watery.

On tap at 't Loosje, Amsterdam.
Pours murky amber gold with a fade-y white head that trails. Lots of wax on the nose with a bit of spiced honey. More spiced honey pear up front, waxy clove middle, and apple cider spice to end. Sweet apple finish, dry spicy linger. Medium, crisp, round.
Oh, yum! Way Christmassy, almost like mulled cider (if you hadn't guessed by how many times I mentioned apples.) Don't even care about the ABV. Do agree with the preceding: pale for a BSDA.
But hugely drinkable.

Best before 11-05. Poors out with good thick and quiet good lasting yellow head. Beercolor is brown with a hint of orange. Orangepeals are dominating the nose together with caramel and roasty maltnotes. Lots of fruitesters make it extra fresh wanting to take a sip fast. Taste is good too, carramellic, burnt, litle sweet and then going into a moderate bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is very creamy and full so good also as drinkabillity is. Good beer and in my opinion most certainly worth a try!
