L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a brown-amber color and a slightly cloudy consistency. There was a foamy / fizzy head that quickly dissipated. Not a whole lot of lacing, though.
S: A big aroma of peanut butter, malt, hops, grape jelly.
T: Tasted of a mild amount of malt / wheat (mostly in the finish), a whole lot of peanut butter, a bit of grape jelly (less than expected), and some light hops in the finish. The flavor definitely lives up to its name. The peanut butter overpowers everything else, but this isn't a problem. Quite tasty and likable.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A thoroughly enjoyable beer. One the better examples of a peanut butter beer.

Much more peanut butter than jelly, but this beer definitely lives up to the hype. It's crazy how the peanut butter flavor is totally integrated into the beer and not artificial-tasting at all.

look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75
Appearance: Arrives hazy and amber colored with nice head that leaves splashy lace
Smell: Peanut butter and wheat toast with undertones of grape jelly
Taste: Fruit forward, with grape jelly sweetness; in the middle there are subtle tones of wheat tast and, to a lesser extent, peanut butter
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I guess I am spoiled by Funky Buddha with these gimmick beers but this didn't work for me as much as I had hoped and certainly not as much as the aroma foretold

Had on tap twice at Edmund's Oast last week. Aroma and smell were incredible. I agree completely with other reviewers that this is a PB&J sandwich in a glass. Very crushable too.

Edmund's Oast "Peanut Butter & Jelly"
12 oz. glass for $5 on tap at the brewery
Have I not reviewed PB&J?... my bad. Simply put, it tastes like PB&J. It's sweetish and grapey, but there's also a note of peanut butter to it. I see it mainly as an aperitif or dessert beer, but I'm sure others would consider it to be far more ranging. That said, it does remain quite balanced and drinkable, and certainly not gimmick. Although it's been done before, this is perhaps the best example I've ever come across. Absolutely worth trying!

Arrives a laughter brown with orange throughout. Small off-white head.
Smell is peanut butter and a hint of malt.
Taste is wheat bread, peanut butter & grape. Awesome, exactly as promised.
Medium body & effervescence. Extremely drinkable. Slightly warming. Get several and drink your dessert.
