16 oz. can. Black or close to it. Creamy head. Smells of roast and sweet brown malt. Tastes of light roasted malt, sweet brown malt, and a little coffee bitterness. Medium body. Creamy texture from low carbonation. I keep hearing good things about Edmund's Oast and I have yet to have anything remarkable by them. This is fine, but only just.

16 oz can dated April 2019 served in a lager glass in May 2019.
Pours near black with a short but durable creamy beige head. Good lacing.
Aroma: dark grains with light smoke and spicy hops.
Flavor: less hoppy and smoky than the aroma suggests, with low bitterness but moderate strength for style. Plenty of dark chocolate with a nice malty aftertaste that includes a touch of coffee.
Feel; Very smooth, medium-full body with a carbonation level that seems about perfect.

L: Had this on-tap at Edmund's Oast, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a 3/4", creamy, off white, long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A solid, but not spectacular, aroma of malt, chocolate, hops, and caramel.

T: Tasted of a fair amount of chocolate (could've used a bit more), light caramel notes, a good shot of malt (present throughout), and a little citrus hops. Not a bad flavor, but not as focused as it could be. It's extremely malty, but the chocolate doesn't make an impression. The fruity hops are an interesting addition, though.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This is an uneven beer, but it's still oddly likable. Worth a shot.
