Poured on-tap at the brewpub and served in a shaker pint, the beer is an amber-caramel coloring with a thin, filmy head. Nose of sweet, roast toffee that is rich and subtle at the same time. Subtle, bitter hops in the aromas, as well. Flavors are toffee and caramel forward, rich and roasted, with a blast of resinous and bitter hops to clean up and balance. Light bodied, with a resinous, bitter aftertaste. Dry, heavily hopped character in the finish. Different take on the style, and damn tasty.

tap

Pours a clear amber with a white lacing for a head.

Caramel and buttered biscuit malts make up the aroma.

The flavor follows the nose but adds a light dry hop finish.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the tongue.

Unexpectedly good and tasty, I find places that look like Front Street normally brew good-but-not-great beer, but this is something I'd come back for again and again. A reason to stop by if you are in the area.

Appearance: dark gold color with light carbonation. Smell: hints of honey, smelling malt. Taste: up forward a lot of malt, grassy notes and tart. Overall: heavy beer that's to grassy and tart
