Had this on tap at Front Street, straight from the source. For those unaware, BTHT is a sour porter that they do on a very limited scale. I tried it once last year once this year, and I'm not sure if it was just a change in palate, but it was significantly better this year.

Poured your standard porter brownie black, with sour cherries just shooting up from the glass. A subtle trace of brett funk, some vanilla and oakiness, and some roast as well.

Taste played off the aroma pretty well. Definitely tart cherries, oak, and roasted malt characters. Mouthfeel was a bit thin, but needed in my opinion. With so much going on in the beer, I thought that a fuller body may would have been overwhelming.

A solid, limited brew from Front Street. If given the chance, check it out!
