Pours a slightly unfiltered hazy straw color with a soapy white head that provides a surprising amount of lacing. The nose is pretty subdued, with a bit of a floral aroma and a smidge of bread.

The taste is surprisingly flavorful, with a nice amount of fruity hop flavors and a bit of bread providing a nice balance, leading to a mouthfeel that is medium, appropriate for the beer.

I’m surprised how much I like this. I wouldn’t get this often, but it would be great after a hard workout.

Can. White head. Clear straw yellow.

Smooth, light, but hoppy. Grassy, citrusy. Not much else, but I dig how much flavor is in an NA with only 45 calories. Athletic doing nice things.

Can. Thin looking pale straw colour. Very slight haze. Thin bubbly head.
Muted aroma of tangerine with hints of barley.
Tastes similar. Light astringency.
Low in body. Medium carbonation.
Fulfils the requirement but that's about it.

Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn Golden NA, .5% ABV. Pours clearish golden with a one-finger white head that left some lacing. Nose is sweet malt. Taste follows, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, and a trace of saltiness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. Best NA of the five I've had so far. Would be good with a shot of Blanton's.

Bought a 6-pack cans direct from Athletic $6.00 initial subscription rate
25 days old
Smells lightly of citrus
Light golden color
Medium-high carbonation
Light mouthfeel
Taste of hops, light bitterness
Overall not bad for a low calorie NA beer. Pretty good as a NA option to give you the feel of a beer of this style so that reflects in my rating.

Disclaimer: I'm a beer beginner so take my comments with a grain of salt

Appearance: Looks like a beer to me! nice color, but lacking a strong head that stays. However I'll give it a pass for a non-alcoholic beer.

Aroma: This category is where I think the beer is the strongest. Strong fruity notes and pleasant overall

Taste: Has some nice fruity flavors and a little malt and hops afterward

Feel: Lacks the body and punch that some beers have, likely due to absence of alcohol

Overall: Nice NA beer option

L: Hazy, light straw. Fluffy white head.

S: Floral hops

T: Moderate hop bitterness. Not much supporting malt, which would be expected from a blonde ale. But I wouldn’t expect much heft from a 45 calorie beer.

F: Clean, crisp, light

O: I prefer Athletic’s IPAs. For 45 calories this is phenomenal though.

I thought this was a pretty decent brew for low alcohol. I had it from a can at a friend’s house near Santa Fe with an excellent dinner. The beer went ver well with the grilled salmon and grilled vegetable.

It was poured into a shaker pint. Clear golden yellow color with a nice white head and good curtain lacing. Smell and taste of lemon, grass and a bit of honey. Good feel for it’s style and overall not bad. I would drink again if circumstances like this evening arise again!

12 oz can poured into a mason jar.

Appearance: Finger-width bone white head. Body is cloudy straw gold. Pours nicely.

Aroma: Kinda smells like soap. Not super appealing. Little bit of grass.

Taste: Hm. I don’t love this. It’s kind of a weak grapefruit flavor with very little body. That soap note from the nose is still there. Honestly this isn’t very good.

Mouthfeel: Super light. Watery. Not super appealing. I will say the grapefruit and grass flavors do step in front of the soap as it warms.

Overall: I like everything else I’ve had from this brewery, but this doesn’t do much for me. It was on the menu at 3 Dollar Deweys in Portland as being a pilsner/lager type beer and it isn’t. It’s sort of like a really weak kolsch meets dish soap meets a poorly executed wheat beer or something. This is a skip for me next time.

It doesn't taste like a Golden Ale, but it has the LSTF characteristics that at least makes it seems like a beer. However, the aroma was kind of a lightly-staled beer, hence a mark-down. The beer was canned in August, 2021, so it's a little over 5 months old. I'd try this again if fresher.

Looks rather like a Mexican lager. Smells of undercooked grains and kind of floral hops. The hops taste kind of European on the tongue. Ultra-carbonated, which probably helps. I think I would appreciate this more in the warmth of Summer. Regardless, it's a reasonable facsimile of beer, if a bit 'lite'.

Semi clear golden appearance.
Medium carbonation that dissipates a bit after a few minutes. Close to Medium body but overall a decent feel to this.
Aroma is malt, cereal, grain, floral earthy honey.
Taste is mild sweetness with a slight sour grain ,malt, cereal, earthy and floral.
Overall this was an excellent na beer, a vast improvement compared to most na beers that I've tried

Another great offering, and this one's readily available round my parts. It is probably akin to the hefe, which is good, because that posits these guys are running a really good mash, malt bill process. I think if you're a fan of English ale, Euro lager, pale beers, session stuff, throwing some N/A in that mix is really easy to do. This is honestly better than half the oktoberfests I had last year. I reference oktoberfest only because I think this does what I want that to do.

12oz can poured into a snifter

A- pours a clear golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a film on top

S- toasted grains, honey, floral hops, earthy tones

T- toasted barley up front gives notes of dried crackers and bread crust. Mid-palate gives light notes of floral and earthy hops. The finish gives more toasted malt, with a hint of hops on a dry linger

M- light body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish

O- well balanced, extremely drinkable, well done
