1st review of this beer on BA, and yet my trailblazing (and other kinds of blazing) get no karma points here. Anyways, I had this with Dr. Carroll & Jordan at the Congregation Ale House in Pasadena on August 22, 2019 before the Rolling Stones show. Wasn't all that different than their "pale" ale.
Somehow this one came in a lighter SRM than the pale ale, relatively clean looking beer, I've seen some pics of it on other sites that look all murked up but that was definitely not the beer I had on Thursday, rather it was golden clarity 1/3" white head. A little hint of citrus, Citra maybe, again, not pungent but its there.
Taste was older school west coast ipa, light and dry malt body, alcohol not pushing it. Hops seemed like maybe Simcoe and Citra, assertive bitterness but more citrus than just grapefruit. It was enjoyable to preparty with for the show. I think I had it along their brat which wasn't really a brat. California sometimes, I swear. Anyways, Dr. Carroll at 4 tacos there and it was glorious.
