330 ml bottle, unpasteurised, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 4.9%, 35 IBU. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Decent pilsener aroma, some herbal hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Very nice pilsener flavour, not too sweet, decent herbal hops throughout.

Light copper colored with a quarter inch of off white on top. It looks a bit dark in color. The aroma is of faint grassy hops. I’m tasting lightly grassy hops, much more so than I expected for a Pilsner. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + lemon yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering approximately 45% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of cracker + bready + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness and light to moderate aromas of lager yeast. Light aromas of floral + herbal + spicy hops.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of cracker + bready + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of lager yeast. Finally there is a slightly heavier than light flavor of floral + herbal + spicy hops which impart a slightly heavier than light amount of bitterness which fade away fairly slowly leaving a relatively clean finish.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a slight amount of softness mid-body and a relatively clean finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a slightly crisp + clean mouthfeel with a touch of softness. Enjoyable flavors and aromas with a very pleasant hop presence. Wish it was a little more crisp but I would definitely have another couple of these.

Look - 13th beer of the 2021 Costco Advent Calendar. Poured into a pint glass. Lemon yellow in color, clear, with a one finger head and moderate lacing retention.

Smell - straw, lightly toasted malts, and a hint of sweetness.

Taste - sweet malts (and possibly corn) with a very healthy dose of hops that hits initially. beer gets more mellow after with a bit of creaminess, and finishes clean.

Feel - light bodied, high carbonation, and a usual suspect for the ABV of this style at 5%.

Overall - its a clean and moderately hoppy pilsner, perhaps the most hoppy of the Advent Calendar thus far.

An Alex Briley of the Village People inspired pils? Perhaps, judging from the outstanding can art. Put on your dancing pants and enjoy this winning pilsner, one of the best of this year's beer advent calendar.

I think my palate is off a bit tonight. Copper and bitterness is coming through strong on the finish for me and is masking some of the other things going on in this beer.

a: clear straw yellow color. pours a 2 finger frothy white head that fades to a 1/4 finger pretty quick

s: straw, hay, sweet grass, and lager spice. lemongrass, sweet grains and fresh dough/crackers. a hint of malt sweetness, as well as an earthy sweetness as well. pretty pleasant aroma

t: grass, light sweet malts, and a herbal bitterness. sweet grains and lemongrass. more bitterness, though it is a bit watery. some pepper spice along with the lager spice. finishes with some crisp malt sweetness and bitterness

m: medium mouthfeel with high carbonation

o: an ok Pilsner. i think it leans a touch too bitter, and could use a bit more depth from the malts and lagering. still pretty drinkable and would be nice on a hot day

500mL can stamped EXP 2023/05 poured into a becher glass at just above fridge temp 5% ABV. The beer pours bright light straw yellow off white head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a few spots of lacing. The aroma is mild with sweet pale malt and floral hops. The taste is semisweet pale malt with a fair amount of sulfur and floral notes before a moderately bitter finish. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good beer, less than good pils. The malt is not pils malt and the sulfur & mineral notes are a big component of the taste.

I got a can of this beer from my Costco Beer advent calendar as the December 13th offering. It poured a clear golden with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had subtle crisp malt and grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crystal malt base and subtle saaz hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Medium clear gold color with a thick 1" head that lasts for several minutes before falling to a .35" covering. Lively carbonation. Malty bread aroma with a hint of yeast, finishing hops and a spicey floral background.
Dry, malty bread taste with a strong hop finish and a background salt and pepper finish. Has a better than normal lacing.
Medium mouthfeel that leaves behind a hoppy pepper and grapefruit aftertaste that lasts for several minutes.
A good pilsner but might be improved with milder hops.

Picked up as part of the Advent 24-pack from the Greenville, SC Costco on 10-9-21 for $59.99. Expires 2023/05; consumed 12-11-21.

Beer poured golden with a nice white head that has pretty good hang time.

Nose is sweet crackery bready malts and floral hops.

Taste follows the nose with a nice light malt base that is lends a sweet white bread taste. Noble hops try to balance but, in the end, leave a touch of sweetness along with a light hop tingle.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and refreshing.

Overall a nice representation of the style.

A: Golden yellow, mostly clear, pours with a medium size white head, retains a wispy cap and small collar
S: malt and noble grassy hops.
T: slight grain and grassy noble hop bitterness. Retains a hop flavor for a while, definitely not a clean finish.
M: medium carbonation. Light body.
O: above average but not the even close to the best pils I've ever had.

Brewer's Advent Calendar 2020 #23

Golden yellow, mostly clear, pours with a medium size white head, retains a wispy cap and small collar
Pale grains, pale lager malts, some noble hops and hints of grass, lager yeast, lightly earthy, touch of minerality, mostly dry but some light sweetness, could finish cleaner
Light body, could be more crisp, medium carbonation

Not terrible, but not really good in any way. This seems to be a trend with this calendar.

Day 23 of the 2020 Costco Beer Advent Calendar. Poured from a can into a tulip snifter. Pours golden orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of cereal grain, nothing special, but better than most. Tastes of cereal grain, very clean, plain, but with more flavor than most. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

L:. Pours a bright golden yellow with a small to medium foamy head and no lacing on the glass.

S:. A touch of citrus mixes with the floral hops followed by some sweet bread and a touch of biscuit.

T:. Sweet breast malt, with a note of biscuit and a touch of fruit followed by a slightly stronger than expected hop, though this still tends a touch sweet for me.

O:. Little lower carb then expected, a touch slick in the mouthfeel.

O:. A decent pilsner, not my favorite but it does get the job done.

Head production is good, although retention is a little lacking. Lively clear straw colored body.

Lovely pilsner nose, with a bright hoppiness accenting biscuity and slightly earthy malt base.

Flavor is an excellent and straight forward pilsner expression, balanced, crisp, and lively. Grass, bark, cracker, biscuit, and very light touches of citrus and honey.

Clear bright gold with a white head. Grains, flowers, grass, honeycomb, cracker, and pilsner malts in smell and taste. Taste picks up on the yeast more, smell the hops. More bready than sweet or botanical, but all present. Feel is crisp, clean, bready, and bright but short lived. Decent weight for the style. All around good pils. The wife liked it
