One of the better lenteboks I had while I was in Holland. Pale brass body with very thin head and no lace. The smell was malty and a bit like a radler. It had a lot of bread tones with a citrus finish. The mouthfeel was a little thinner than most of the Dutch Bocks I had tried. But this one had the best flavor.

33cl bottle. Clear amber pour with a thin white head that disappears completely after about a minute. Smells of alcohol and sugars from the malt. Sweet and metallic taste, kind of flat and hard to drink.

A: Clear and tea orange. 1 cm head, but lots of carbonation flowing up.

S: Smells like a German hefeweizen or more like Weihenstephaners' Vitus, although it doesn't contain yeast. Sweet and yeasty.

T: The alcohol is quite apparent, almost tastes like it was added. Slightly hefeweizen like, but not as heavy. Somewhat sweet. Strange, unpleasant bitterness at the end, like a rotten lemon, but not overpowering. It truly tastes like there's a shot of something poured into a beer.

M: Almost light in body. The alcohol feeling on the tongue isn't my favorite, when you're trying to savor it.

O: Strange beer. Not impressive.

Available only in spring, despite the tag that it is year available year-round. Almost no head when poured into a glass, and no lacings. Almost no smell that I can detect so I rated that a 3 (not good, not bad). Nice flavor with malt and hops, but a bit thinner that the Brand DubbelBock. Not a bad brew at all, but not one I would go to great lengths to find.

Springbok by Brand, from the south of Netherlands.

Golden orange colour, 1 finger fluffy head disappearing quickly, nice carbonation.
Smell and taste are pleasantly malty, but a bit faint hopwise. A bit of floral and citric hops.
It's smooth and easy at 6.5%.
Overall, I'd say it's a nice and simple beer.

22 Oct 2012 saw me, my wife and 26 other members of the CAMRA Investors club have a wonderful afternoon as guests of the brewery: after a film show and giuded tour of the brewery we adjourned to the tasting celler bar where we were given seven different brews to taste: I had plenty of each!

My glasses were filled from a variety of 33cl bottles the brewery has laid down for us from last spring: thanks brewery.

Copper to old gold and dull orange in colour: the head varied in size depending on who poured the beer!

Semi-sweet malts fill the nose: some fruit notes also.

The taste was fairly sweet as well, caramel with nuts and fruit. This is a top fermenting beer and I could detect some yeast within the flavours as I tried to order another one from the free bar.

The day was getting better as the beer strengths began to climb and I began to warm to my task.

Bottle of 300 ml at home.
Deep golden-light orange colour, with a two finger head with an average retention. Some lacing on the glass.
Aroma is of hops and fruits.
Caramel, citrus on the flavour, hops too. Alcohol is quite traceable.
Medium thickness on the palate, average carbonation.

A copper colored

S flowers, malt

T malty, bitter

M refreshing beer for the summer lightly chilled for the best taste stays not long in your mouth still it has a nice malty taste.

O nice tarras beer and for bqq not to heavy but has some more flavor than a pilsner.

Only comments: I prefer IPA so this is out of my comfort zone. Lentebock is drinkable with a light hoppyness. Worked well with tuna steak.

I had a glass of this one at the Amsterdam airport while waiting for a flight at 8:00A in the morning.

The appearance was a crystal golden hue with a decent head that falls quickly.

The aroma was strickly a Belgian yeast aroma.

It has a light Belgian taste.

The mouthfeel is creamy and light.

Overall a drinkable beer.

A light orange colour with a thin layer of foam that quickly disappears. Bubbles on the inside surface of the glass. Delicate smell of grass, peach, clove and yeast. This flavours, accompanied by malt, continue in the taste. The hops make their appearance in the finish: a nice sour bitter fruity aftertaste. Refreshing and smooth mouth feel. A nice beer with a good variety of flavours.

L - golden orange, clear; aggressive white head that dissipates super fast
S & T - nice and biscuity, candy sugar and slightest hint of banana, grassy hops, mild pleasant spritzy bitters in the aftertaste
F - surprisingly velvety on the mouth, nice and spritzy in the aftertaste

O - not overly-fond of this beer, as I'm not too much into the sweeter beers or the banana aroma, but I like the biscuity pilsener quality that's left, right and center on this one. I could see this being a hit with people who like exactly those qualities.

I'd recommend it if you like your sweeter beers, or if you're a fan of that Brand-typical biscuity pilsener quality.
