Presentation: 12oz brown bottle with an "enjoy by" date clearly marked.

Appearance: Very bright, clear and bubbly with a pale orange hue ... an attractive lace hangs around long enough to finish the brew off.

Smell: Big whiff of malt sweetness with a peppery, veggie, and spicy hop nose and some cracker like grain also.

Taste: A growing tingling hop bitterness flows with the carbonation to form a spicy crisp bite. Light to medium in body that shows off an elegantly textured mouth feel. Wonderful dryish biscuit malt character has enough backbone to hold up against the lingering hop. Both grain and lemony spicy Saaz hop barely faded into the everlasting finish.

Notes: Subtle though one of the most impressive American brewed pilsners I have had to date ... unhappily this is not a year-round brew.

I really want to love this; but at 6%, it's just a little too heavy for a pils. Imagine a more herbal, slightly heavier Prima Pils.

EDIT: I think this works better when considered as an India Pale Lager. With that designation, I've got no complaints.

EDIT AGAIN: The more I drink this, the more I like it. A great selection for those of us that love hops but also crisp lagers.

Ah, the ol' pilsner review, kid you not, Full Sail used to be awesome.

Standard relatively clear golden pour, fluffy head that just chilled and kicked it for quite some time and left a good lacing job.

Aroma and taste, quiet, pepper, lemon and crackers with the faintest floral Saaz hop feel. Very light on the palate, didn't weigh down the tongue, always felt refreshed to take the next sip.

This beer was never easy to find, saw it a few times at Bevmo, but seemed a lot more prevalent when I'd make my Eugene and Portland trips.

Damn, that's a tasty pils. It doesn't have the zippy crisp edge of German import, but there's also a ton more hop character with a big floral and grapefruit character. The malts still pop with a toasted, almost popcorn-like flavor. Very drinkable, I'd have another.

Pours to a generous white creamy head that falls to a thin layer that persists and laces some. Bright golden color. Aroma is unmistakably cascade hops and pilsner malts and a bit of white wine in there as well. Flavor is a tasty blend of fresh cascade hops and sweet pils malt with a substantial hop bitterness. There is balance in this brew even with the pale malts and strong hopping. Mouthfeel is big for the style. Overall a damn good beer that shows that Cascade hops sit very well in a pale lager style.

Poured from the bottle into a Libbey style pilsner glass.

Deep crystal clear body with very slow rising carbonation, some large some small, but creeping at a snails pace through a bright brass yellow body. Head manages a soapy two fingers with little retention, but slowly falls to a large collar. Looks like a good standard lager.

Good solid hop notes of mushy grapefruit and zest. Nice fleshy tones with the hops pretty much being the standout. Not much else but a clean sensation and giving a good start forward.

Big hop forward fruit tones abound on first taste. Quenching clean finish and crisp qualities, but with a juiced hop and grapefruit quality. Big zesty oils on the finish with a dense malt backbone. Real spicy oils on the aftertaste with a great coating all through the palate, the ones that get in between the teeth and gums practically.

Overall a real solid lager, and a hop forward one that is in control too.

6-packed picked up tonight at the Fred Meyer on Orchard... Enjoyed from my Elysian pumpkin goblet... Sudsy white head atop a very clear golden brew, pretty... Nose is definitely American hopped with an abundant Cascade profile, but is still very clean and crisp... Flavor begins very bitter for a pilsner, but not exactly out of whack.. The citrus hops work with the clean lager profile... I dig this one a lot.

It would be cool to see an accomplished brewery do something small/boutique that highlighted either a single malt/single hop while using a nice clean lager yeast... and perhaps even release a few of them at the same time so the geeks could get a little crazy.... Full Sail could pull it off.

This pils is strikingly clear and a pale golden color that comes dangerously close to me having a lower opinion of it because of the poor-tasting American lagers that are also pale and clear. The head--closer to clear than white--fades and leaves a slick of bubbles on the top and actually sticks some lace to my pint glass.

Smell is what I'd expect from a pilsner: subtle, clean and lightly grassy with something that gives it a fresh quality.

Flavors are also start fresh and clean with mellow but noticeable malts and ending with surprisingly robust hoppy bitterness. The clear look belies satisfyingly full flavor and a substantial enough feel that sets it apart from American macro lagers.

I've long appreciated Full Sail's lager offerings. The brewery doesn't seem like it gets the hype of some of the other Oregon breweries, but their lager offerings are tops in the state. Thanks Full Sail, I hope nothing changes with the recent change in ownership!

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pilsener malts and grassy hops are present in the nose. The smell becomes a little stronger as the beer warms up.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of pilsner malts and grassy hops, the latter of which linger through the finish and also contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a cattle clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager has a good balance between the malts and hops as both are very prevalent but neither of which seems to be stronger than the other.

Best by 6/26/16; poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass

L- golden in color, crystal clear with a thick white head that sticks for quite a long time. lots of carbonation. a great looking lager.

S- hop-forward aroma with notes of lemon peel and pine. bready malts are there as well.

T- sweet malted barley quickly drowned out by pine and citrus hop bitterness. abv is slightly noticible. i like a good hoppy pilsner but this could use a bit more herbal/Noble hop bitterness. it's tasty but not as tasty as it could be.

F- crisp, dry mouthfeel.

O- a very good American-brewed hoppy pilsner that is absolutely worth the $5.99 (on sale price) I paid at Sprout's in Tucson, AZ.

Haven't met a pilsner I love yet, and this is no exception. Pours a clear golden with thin white top. Aroma is promising with a nice bready malt. Pleasingly the hop is mild and herbal. Flavor is okay with some of the malt lending a smooth balance of slight sweet. Finish is semi-dry, peppery and otherwise boring. Perhaps the common element of peppery spice to common pilsners hops is just not for me.

Clear yellow colored beer with a small white colored head.

Smells of pilsner malt and noble hops. Herbal and slightly spicy with a lot of saffron and grass in the scent.

Starts out dry and stoutly bitter with a toasted grain after taste. Saffron and grass with a little sweetness under the bitter.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a solid pilsner.
