Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.40%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Not to be confused with their English Style Pale.

"Our Pale Ale has a fresh, hoppy aroma that comes from two (top secret) Northwest hop varieties, while two-row Pale and Crystal malt give it a mild sweetness that finishes clean and crisp. Feeling out of whack? Put on some music, crack a Pale Ale, and readjust your balance.

Bought a six pack from Table and Vine. Beer poured with a little to no head, but it has a beautiful, clear amber appearance. Aromas had a citrus and biscuit mix to it with some hints of pine. Taste had some light malt and is decently sweet and bready flavor. Great carbonation; definitely help to make this a refreshing beer. Overall, a nice pale ale.

Big slightly off white head sits above a clear rich golden colored beer.

Light pine with hints of lemony citrus hops aroma.

A nice dry citrus hops taste.

This medium bodied beer leaves a smooth dry aftertaste with just a bit of the citrus hops tastes lingering on.

A nice dry good tasting worthy pale ale.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Golden amber color with perfect clarity. Creamy off-white head settles at a quarter of an inch. Lacing is spotty and patchy.

S: Shortbread, grain, toffee, caramel, toast. Hops lay in some iced tea and marmalade. Earthy and lightly grassy too.

T: Rich and complex malt flavors shift on the palate. Shortbread, grain, toffee, caramel, toast. Hops are grassy and earthy with tea-like notes and subtle tobacco. Slight citrus peel impression as well. Relatively clean fermentation. Toffee, caramel, and lingering hop oils on the finish.

M: Hefty medium body. Full and creamy impression with a sense of weight. Crisp, lively carbonation provides some bite and lift, aiding in drinkability.

O: A Pale ale that leans heavily in the English direction. Great depth of malt flavor, big-boned body. The hops are American, but not overt or aggressive. They actually have a bit of an English feel to them as well. Fermentation is cleaner than one would expect in a traditional English pale. A solid offering.
