Appearance This came out a very dark, almost black stout with wonderful ruby highlights around the edges. The head was moderate and beautifully browned.
Smell Oh, this is bourbon at its finest. We always have a couple good bottles of bourbon around the house, so when I popped the top on this we passed it around with a few bottles from Bourbon County, Kentucky. They really did hit the mark here.
The rest of the beer was just as pleasant. The malts were very dark but the sweetish whisky and sugars balanced things out nicely.
Taste The malts were bigger at the taste. They were very crisp. The bourbon was smooth and satisfying. There was also most definitely a light sense of coconut.
Mouthfeel This is medium-bodied and had a light stingy feel from the high ABV.
Drinkability If you enjoy bourbon youll really like this RIP. If you dont, get over it and buy a bottle anyway.
Comments Thanks to skyhand for not only strongly recommending this purchase but for talking me into cellaring this for six months before drinking. Dead right on both counts.

A little different label on this one with a plaid gold, white and black pattern and ABV of 9.5%. Purchased at Tipsy's in Littleton, CO over Christmas '16. Pretty good bourbon barrel stout. Smell is heavy on the bourbon up front. Feels a little light for the style, could be a little thicker. Taste up front is bourbon, with a little molasses and chocolate maltiness. Pretty good. Just hope I'm reviewing the right one. Cheers and Happy New Year.

On tap at Albertsons. Pours out inky black with a huge fluffy beige head, instant barrel/wood aroma, hints of chocolate and rum. Taste is incredibly smooth, no hint of the high ABV. Warmth comes on much later in the game. Incredible RIS, barrel aging is a huge plus.

Pours an opaque dark brown almost black like oil with khaki colored head. Bourbon, woody oak, some sweet vanilla and chocolate on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with bourbon and sweetness.
