Clear amber with two fingers of off white head that lasts to about the halfway mark leaving good lacing on the sides.
Smell is malty lightly fruity with a whiff of yeast funk.
Taste is sweet and fruity with most of the flavor from the malt. Light kiss of fruity and barely detectable hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is on the light side including the drying effect. Carbonation is alright.
Overall a decent if not stellar example of this style. Easy drinking and pleasant. Mine was set to expire in four days (enjoy by date) but it tasted fine.

Pours a clear, coppery, red-orange with a foamy off white head.

Floral, mineraly, earthy hops with pale, slightly sweet malt backing.

Medium body, fizzy, foamy carbonation.

A well done English pale ale. Well done hop character with just enough malt backing to balance it out.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a clear amber color with a one finger head of a white color. The head has a moderate level of retention, slowly fading to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is mostly of a fruity and lighter bready smell mixed with some other aromas of an earthy and herbal hop smell and just the faintest hint of a caramel aroma.

Taste – The taste begins slightly bready and moderately caramel sweetened flavor. As the taste advances the caramel transitions to a more toffee like flavor taking on some slightly more buttery tastes. All the while some lighter hop flavors develop on the tongue with a bit of an herbal and earthy hop coming to the tongue. Along with the hop come some stronger fruitier flavors of an apple and peach nature which mix with the rest to leave a moderately sweeter pale taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. For the more moderate and middle ground flavors of the brew the thinner body and moderate carbonation are just right, creating a very easy drinking brew overall.

Overall – A decent rather easy drinking pale ale. Nothing to go out of your way for, but a rather decent session or party style brew.

12 oz bottle into my dimpled mug from a six pack from Fred Meyer in N.Salem. $6.99 (6) Dark golden with a huge ,thick and creamy/rocky head..its off white..looks cool. aroma is very subdued but what there is is caramel and faint resiny hop. Nice mellow taste, certainly has the English toffee and faint tobacco down well..very little hopping. Kinda nice but just because its "English " style doesn’t mean it has NO hops..could have done with some EKG..but still its a pleasing taste. Palate is fine smooth easy low carbonation. I am kinda upset with this one..could have been a whole lot better..this is really just an amber ale..i know this brewer can do better.

Sweet malt dominates this brew. Golden amber in color with thin white head. Aroma and taste are malt, with some flat malt finish. Different, but not great.
