355ml can poured into tulip 20/7/18
Golden yellow with lots of tiny suspended particles, tiny slow bubbles feed a finger of foam that sticks around for a couple sips leaving a pencil thin ring. Pineapple, canned peaches, mango. papaya, sweet orange, double bubble chewing gum, and soft caramel keep it from a total hop runaway. Great first impression from yet another newcomer in Cowtown, I predict great things for these guys and I'm excited to try some other offerings....

355ml can - not sure what the '500' is referencing. Kilograms of hops in the batch?
This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, rocky, and somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves some dense sudsy cloud pattern lace around the glass as it lazily seeps out of sight.
It smells of dank pine resin, mandarin orange, canned pineapple, chewed-out bubblegum, a further indistinct tropical fruitiness, grainy and crackery cereal malt, and some understated leafy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, muddled domestic citrus rind, some more exotic mango and kiwi fruity notes, a damp minerality, and more leafy, weedy, and piney verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly laid-back in its palate-pleasing frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and generally smooth, with a wee airy creaminess evolving as things warm up a tad around here. It finishes off-dry, the freight train of frootiness exhibiting the most lingering oomph.
Overall - this comes across as a well-made, rather hoppy brew, with very little attendant bitterness. Lots of flavour, and deftly balanced. I don't say this often, but I sure could go for another one right now, and it's only partly due to the 30-plus degrees outside (and near that inside).

Nobody is doing hoppy beer better in Calgary than these guys right now.
A: Very pale, hazy but not turbid at all. Tenacious loose head
S: Citrusy juicy fruit bubblegum, mango, cantelope
T: Bitterness is low but present.
F: The right level of body without any malt sweetness.
A focused beer from a strong brewer, impressive stuff.

Appearance - Pours a hazy gold with three fingers of foamy white head.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, citrus, mango, pineapple, hint of peach, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - Bold citrus and tropical hops start the brew off. The citrus, mango, and pineapple follow suit. The bready malts and earthy yeast finish off the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes a tad sticky with the hops lingering.
Overall - An exemplary first brew from the newest addition to the Calgary craft beer scene. It is well executed on all points and is truly sessionable. Look forward to more from this brewery!
