A nice golden color with aromas of pine, citrus and some earthy spice notes was created using 1800 lbs of English pale malt and over 100 lbs of hops! Hopsauce is full of hop flavor at about 100 IBUs. This is what hop lovers dream about. Get hopped up on the sauce!

Oct. 2015: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.2%. Hazy and surprisingly pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of pine / pine needles, spruce tips and dust. Very hoppy flavour, partly balanced by a moderate sweetness, the overall impression is not very sweet. Strong notes of pine needles and spruce tips. Very bitter aftertaste.

This beer has a good look and a great taste, bright orange color and a small creamy off white head. Aroma is juicy citrus and pith...really fresh smells as the awesome lace clings to the glass, mouthfeel is medium after the first hop bomb wave...this settles into a really nice sipping brew with a lot of taste without dulling the taste buds. People complained about the bitter side of this, this is what I look for in a DIPA...this has it all and I think this is a solid brew!

L: Hazy golden-orange-amber look with a creamy mild yellow head.
S: Wonderful presence of carmelized brown sugar and tropical/citrus aroma with a subtle tease of earthiness and pine.
T: Hit me with strong flavors of grapefruit rind and tangerine followed by caramal undertones. Very hop-happy pine notes and a bitter, resinous finish.
F: Creamy, smooth, medium-light malted body. Pretty light for a double IPA
O: I love the bright Citrusy sweetness paired with the sugary caramel. The bright bitter flavors and the weak malty body just don't match up for me, and i feel it lacks balance.

Slightly hazy amber color with a thin head with short retention, but keeps a constant plate.
Delicious tropical aroma with notes of passion fruit, pine, grapefruit, tangerine, mango and caramel malt.
Bitter flavor with predominant notes of resiny and spicy hops, pine, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, soap, cantaloupe, garlic and slightly toasted and caramel malts. Quite dry aftertaste with an insistent bitterness.
Medium towards full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 8.2% is not felt.
Decent resiny DIPA that satisfied my appetite for hops. Not overly sweet and with a nice nose, but resiny and dunk hops hid a bit its mouth complexity. Though it increases as it warms up and hops settle down on your palate. It didn’t fell so fresh and live.

Light orange colored, impressive clarity. Lots of pine in the aroma, orange.
A lot of caramel feels from the crystal malt I suspect. Resinous. Sweeter than average. Eats up alcohol. Pale malts toasted greater than average. Earthy. Lots of bitterness.

Truly lives up to its name, but at the same time the hop does not overpower the pine and citrus flavored. Overall quite enjoyable.

L: Hazy orange 2” off white foam cap
S: citrusy, grassy hops
T: Starts malty, then the hops come on board followed by a burst of orange to apricot, hints of pineapple, some caramel in the background and a long lingering grapefruit rind bitter finish.
F: Creamy, very fine soft carbonation, medium full body.
O: The interaction of fruit, caramel malt and hop flavors is well balanced and exquisite.
