Notes: Appropriately named for the Deep River Camelback truss bridge, constructed in early 1900, which originally connected Lee and Chatham counties, the Bridge serves as a constant reminder and physical link between the past and present. It is this very link which has become the vision for Camelback Brewing Company: to pay tribute to, and celebrate the historical and cultural significance of Sanford and Lee County through our branding and marketing as well as through the establishment of our modern brewery and brewpub.

Newly renovated space in a fairly new shopping center with a decent sized L-shaped bar and about 15 tables. There is a good view into the brewing equipment area. The place was pretty busy when I visited with a steady flow of customers coming in. There were a couple of TVs showing college football with the volume turned off and there was pleasant music playing at a reasonable volume that allowed for easy conversation.
Beers were well poured into decent glassware - tasters, nonic pints, and snifters. The beers had a reasonable amount of head and were served at a proper temperature.
Staff and owner/brewer were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers and happy to talk about the different options available on draft as well as some of the other beer-related options in the area.
While they did not have a huge amount of taps or beers available when I visited, they did have a decent range of styles (and not the every so trendy only hazy IPAs and super sweet pastry stouts).
Food was slightly elevated pub food and I enjoyed the option I tried - I had a wurst of some kind (can't remember exact one that I chose). I noticed several other people choosing some of the grilled cheese options which looked good and seemed popular - maybe I will grab one of those if I get the chance to visit again.
