I like this location better than the grandview location, because its in UA, and not old Grandview (that is a joke by the way).

In all seriousness it is a little nicer only by the fact that it feels much newer than the grandview location. There is a little more room, and in the summertime they open up the patio for a nice change of pace. The service is usually decent, nothing extraordinary, but better than usually bar service.

Food is pretty good, and I had the Fish and Chips, very tasty. I have been there a couple of times and they have always had a seasonal Great Lakes which is always good. Other than that its Guinness, and Newcastle type beers.

I think this location is better than the one in Grandview but still not as cool as the original in Worthington.

Not much exciting on tap except for GLBC. I had the Burning River Pale Ale on tap and oh my....VERY good! The cooler was stocked with all sorts of good stuff. Warsteiner, Paulaner, Bells, and most of the Sam Smith line.

They serve their beer in frosty glasses which only happened once. The server was nice enough to NOT bring me a frosty glass the second time around.

Food is great and reasonably priced. Supposedly, the fish and chips is to die for (I chose to spend my calories on beer, not food). But the turkey reuben was most excellent as well.

All in all, a very good experience. We will definitely be back and I would encourage all to stop by.

Old Bag of Nails pubs keep springing up in different places around Columbus. I don't think any of the other locations stack up to the original in Worthington, even though they share the same basic attributes. This location is situated in a shopping plaza in Upper Arlington, and there is plenty of parking.

The atmosphere here is pretty nice. Lots of brick, wood, and green lighting. There is also various breweriana on the walls (I noticed a lot of it was mirrors with brewer logos on them). The pub is divided longways in half, with a bar on each side. It seemed like one side was the dining/bar side and the other was the sports bar side.

The beer selection is very good. The bottled selection leans toward English beers (Sam Smith, Fuller's etc). The draught selection is in constant flux, but you can always get something from GLBC, Leinenkugel's, or an Arrogant Bastard. Old Bag is the only place I know of that has Old Rasputin on draught which is cause for celebration as far as I am concerned.

The staff is knowledgeable and courteous and I have never had a problem with the speed of service or with beer recommendations or knowledge. My one beef is that they serve their Stouts too cold.

Now, the food. If you go here and don't get the Fish & Chips you should be ashamed. It is unbelievably good (and BIG!). The Patty Melt is great too.

This Bag is much larger than the original one in Worthington. The seating areas are actually two large rooms with each having a bar, although many times only the large front room bar will be in operation.

There is plenty of lot parking and the service is adequate, if a bit rushed to keep up. As with the other location, the beer on tap is quite good and sometimes surprisingly; I love finding Old Rasputin on tap. There is good family feel to this place as well and think many would find this a good place for dinner with a beer rather beer with a bite to eat. Could easily be a favorite if it were near my home.
