Enjoyed this one at the Beachwood BBQ Sour Fest during the New Belgium night. Glad I was able to try this one since it ran out at the Stone Sour Fest before I could try it.
The beer was a raspberry hue with a few bubbles around the glass and sort of hazy too.
Sweet on the nose with some tart berry aromas, acidity, oak with hints of vanilla, lemon, and berry candy. Hints of caramel sweetness became more evident when the beer warmed up.
Tart berry flavor with lemons, vanilla, oak, acidity, and a bit of acetic acid in the finish too. Floral notes with berry infusion, raspberry, blueberry, and sour cherry notes.
Moderate to high carbonation, but quite smooth and pleasant on the palate. Easy to drink for the most part but seems to get a tad too acetic when it warms up.

RBSG09 Grand Tasting notes. Thanks to everyone there.
This wasn't really my cup of tea. Strong sour berry flavor that grew cloying after a few sips. Quite tart. It reminded me of a tart rhubarb pie, although I imagine it's just olallieberries. Hard to find anything but sour berries in the flavor. It works a bit better in the aroma, but I didn't love it. Mild funk, verging on the unnoticeable underneath all those berries. Perhaps, there was also a touch of oak. Pretty good sour but I need it to be incredible to accept that much fruit flavor.

RBSG09 on tap at grand tasting. Pours a magenta orange color with a fluffy white head. Tart berries in the nose, strawberry ice cream. I've never had an olallieberry but this is probably what they smell like. Flavor is unripe strawberry with lemon tartness and acidity. Very short grainy finish with some sweetness.
